belissimo
what was the best food you ate and will you remember it forever???
This video and the one on Crete are amongst the best I've seen.
Of course, as a child I tasted all types of baklava in the neighborhood grocery store in the north of my country, there are baklava with kadaif pistachio hairs and syrup in a rectangular shape, there are baklava with rounded kadaif hairs and a peanut in the middle, there are baklava in a rectangle with lots of cinnamon and chopped almonds, there are baklava in small cubes with chopped peanuts and syrup
My father's father had a confectionary in Tunisia and he used to make Turkish sweet desserts and a lot of cookies, there is a knapa which is actually a sweet dessert made of orange colored Kadaif hairs glazed in butter, with sweet white cheese in the middle and syrup on top
My father's father used to make guzlema with cheese spinach and sesame seeds and lots of pastries and vegetables
For me, cooking is beyond the plate, it is beyond choice, cooking is an experience, and what a person eats, he should enjoy it and that it should be delicious to him, not to eat to mark a V or to please the society in which you live, these should be by choice and the restaurant experience should be accompanied by pleasure from the food,When you force a person to eat something that his religion does not agree with in terms of Jewish kosher or Muslim religion, or comes to a restaurant and provokes unwanted behavior and interferes with his personal menu, this is not culinary, and very far from understanding the food and the raw material, it is a lack of respect for food and impolite behavior
My father's father did not understand the Greek language, did not write and read in Greek and did not look at a sentence in Greek and understand what was written there
Don't believe the hype,90% of greek "traditional" food is looted from neighbour countries and traditions.

Love Mediterranean food
The Greeks discovered the best recipes in the world, the Turks stole all our recipes.
Hai fatto una bella scelta. Complimenti. Si chiama "To steki tou Ilia" (το στεκι του Ηλια).
By the look of it, at the ouzeri, the meatballs, had trimmed zucchini inside, that's why they are so tender.
One very important thing you missed in all places though was horta, it's like chicoria, but lots of variations.
wöhhh yaniiii
I wasBorn in Australia 1956, i lived in Greece for 12 years 1975-1987. Your choices for Greek Restaurants are the best. Hpeiros restaurant in the Agora is excellent Lefteris souvlaki near Omonia took me 10 years to find. There was no internet in those days it was word of mouth or the grapevine. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and well informed video.
I love Greek food.
greetings to our dear neighbors.
Greetings from Türkiye.♥

Why does he keep using words in……Italian?!?!?!
Dear friend, you did your homework before this video!!! The basement place, Diporto, and also Klimataria are not actually called taverns, the right term in greek is magirio and they basically offer homemade food. Unfortunately they tend to be extinct… The bean soup you had is generally considered to be our national dish, believe it or not! As for the patsas soup, the habit here in Athens is to have it after staying out late at night and drinking. It is supposed to be very good for the stomach after drinking. 😊😊😊
Amazing video guys, the food in Greece is so fresh and diverse, it's great to see all the different foods together in one video!
WHY YOU CALL THIS STREET FOOD??????????? Contadino….
looks like the "Hellas" to Me
Remember to Fly from Heathrow Via British Airways, for Destinations to Athens and the Cyclades…Otherwise you may lose your way.

Unfortunately, we have the ugliest, dirtiest and most violent City in Europe. We are very proud for hitting rock bottom in everything… At least, we have the food.
