Ένα από τα πιο ζεστά και καλοδουλεμένα δείγματα της early-’70s soul επιστρέφει σε επιμελημένη οπτικοποιημένη μορφή: Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose – Treat Her Like A Lady (video editado). Η πορεία τους σφραγίστηκε από δύο μεγάλες επιτυχίες: το Treat Her Like A Lady (1971) και το Too Late to Turn Back Now (1972), πριν αποσυρθούν στα μέσα της δεκαετίας.
Το Treat Her Like A Lady ήταν το breakthrough τους: κυκλοφόρησε το 1971, γράφτηκε από τον Eddie Cornelius και χάρισε στο τρίο χρυσή διάκριση και υψηλές θέσεις στα αμερικανικά charts. Η επιτυχία του single άνοιξε τον δρόμο για το άλμπουμ Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose (1972) και για την ακόμα μεγαλύτερη παγίωση του ονόματος τους με το Too Late to Turn Back Now την επόμενη χρονιά.

This is live. They sound so much better than musicians today
Too Late to Turn Back Now was the best!
Still loving this song 2024
This song plays in my head all these years later. Best music came from the 70s.
Take notice younger generation, melody, harmony, rhythm. 3 essentials for good music that last beyond time.
I can listen to this song ALL DAY LONG !!!!!
I was born August 20th 1961.
I'm 63 and still playing these songs….
Timeless.
My buddy, Freeman James, played bass on this song. We were putting out a demo at a studio in Toronto when Eddie Cornelius walked in asking if anyone played bass because his was ill. If it weren't for Freeman's improvised bass line, this song wouldn't have sold a million copies. He got paid $50.
“In other words, Ron Burgundy was the balls.”
i loved this since the 1st time i heard it and now my kids love them as much as me
If i wanted to hear the record i would just play IT good song but not impressed by this
This church mixed with soul & pop in my view 🔥
I'm playing these songs I'm 56
Loved their music and im 73 now. Wish their music was still available. Tryed for years to get an album.
I'm sixty nine years and I live all music from the 60's and 70's that's all I listen to. Music is my medicine . I listen to music every day . Love love this song and them
Love this song but what happened to those men in the 70's that used to treat her like lady, are there still some around Or, did they all die?
I had this 45 when it came out. I've always loved this song 🎵 ❤️
When American pop songs were catchy and musical and stylish.
LUV that singing when the music doesn't overpower the vocalists. Every word is clear as a ringing bell. Cornelius Brother has a very distinct voice. You immediately know who's singing when you hear his first words.
That aint sister rose
https://youtu.be/fCgxNSHCsWk?si=jxM0PNx0_Jr6AWMR the orginal group
Why is there only one brother but 2 sisters? Shouldn't it be at least 2 brothers and Rose?
The song might be 1971 but this clip must be in later years, in the 80s?
Oh man ! Now that's real music and excellent singers. !!😊
This footage is def' not from the 70s. Looks like the 80s or maybe early 90s at the latest.
Dang that's good!
Growing up in Florida when this first came out…great group with many fine songs.❤

Jeffrey St.Louis: I'm a 68 yr. Old white guy, Grew up with MOTOWN, AM radio 📻 on the kitchen table, listening and doing my homework, Once a week, took it out back and shook off the roaches cause they either loved the electro magnetic pulse or the pulse of good MOTOWN music….or both 😂😊😊
😢 love this song and to late also beautiful
❤❤❤
I love this song ,, CALIFORNIA
SOUL POWER ✊️
Hm only know it from the Temptations. Same Title but different.
Black or white, what difference does it make? Appreciation of great music shouldn't be confined to one racial group. I'm 79 and I liked all music growing up. If I heard a song that I liked I didn't care who recorded it, I just enjoyed it. It's the way it should have been and still is. So anyone commenting that they're white and still likes this or any song by a black artist must be looking for some sort of congratulations for saying that. I have a huge music library and never once have I distinguished between white or black or any other group. Just enjoyed the song and nothing more.
Love it. Never look at people's color of there skin.
Loved this song and "Too Late to Turn Back Now". Great songs and great performances!
That's my brother I was young when he died
