It was great fun! And imagine an era where spanking a child would not mean child abuse but when well applied a sensible way to get a spoiled child back into line.
Excellent movie. I am not a big fan of Susan Hayward but this was a great performance by her.
Fabulous!
Jean Dixon ❤
Recycled theme music from another Colbert film from the year before. Harry Cohn was cheap.
Made in 1937.
I for one enjoyed the movie ,it was fun ! As for you ranters, get over yourselves. Obviously you dont know anything about the times back then .
Who Loves This Movie ❤
"A career sponges up your whole life and leaves you empty", says super-efficient executive secretary promoted to general manager Claudette Colbert. She marries the boss she's been in love with for 6 years on a business basis, hoping to transform his sad excuse for a home (complete with bratty kid and snobby sister) and find a way into his stuffy no-time-for-anything-but-business heart.
Typical Hollywood junk.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have. Robert. Young. Claudette Colbert in k met him in. Paris with. Melvyn. Douglass . He was also in. They all kissed the bride with. Joan. Crawford. This is an excellent 🎥🍿!! Jean. Dixon she was in a movie with. Joan. Crawford. Sadee and. Gene. Raymond. Rhonda. Prater.
A 193( COMEDY
12:33, Fluffy hauls ass.
Amusing dialogue. At least. And Colbert is always good, M. Douglas also.
I thought this would be a pre-code film suprised it's not and pleased at how good the quality of the film is, deep clear b&w for a 1935 film.
There was some funny dialogue had to laugh @ Gertude's fainting antics, Annabells food & talking strikes.
And I like the message about women and careers.
I wasn't offended by the end at all, I thought it was funny, liked Franklin and Douglas, in those sense, it was after all 1935.
Imo this was better than contemporary movies which consists of gratuitous swearing, violence, theft, crime blood & gore .
I enjoyed it, thank you for uploading.
