Join us as we venture into the heart of the Big Apple and review our stay at Liberty Harbor RV Park in Jersey City.
Navigating through New York’s chaotic traffic wasn’t without its challenges. Our GPS led us into a few tight spots, and the stress of city driving was palpable. Nevertheless, we finally arrived at Liberty Harbor RV Park, which, despite our initial reservations, turned out to be our gateway to Manhattan.
What to Expect at Liberty Harbor RV Park
This unique RV park is essentially a parking lot with basic amenities—water and electricity, but it does serve a purpose. With easy access to the ferry service that whisks you directly into Manhattan, it provides a surprisingly convenient base for exploring the city. While the accommodations may not be luxurious, the park’s no-frills approach keeps you close to the action without the exorbitant costs of urban hotels.
During our stay, we took advantage of the ferry to visit our niece, Lauren, explore her neighborhood, and delve deeper into the city we both adore and find overwhelming. From famous landmarks to local bakeries, every moment was an adventure.

- If you’re planning to RV in NYC, double-check your route to avoid low bridges and parkways—Google Maps can be tricky!
