Exciting Launch Ahead: 2026 Tesla Model 2 at Just $16,990!
In a thrilling reveal, the 2026 Tesla Model 2 is set to launch in Q3 2025, with a starting price of only $16,990! This much-anticipated model reflects Tesla’s commitment to making electric vehicles (EVs) accessible to the masses, and its unveiling is one of the most awaited events in the automotive world.
Tesla has confirmed that progress on the Model 2 is "on track," with the official announcement likely to occur during its upcoming Shareholder Event in November. The Model 2 will come in two variations: a Rear-Wheel Drive base version priced at $16,990 and a more premium All-Wheel Drive variant. This dual option caters to a range of preferences, aligning with Tesla’s vision of offering vehicles for every lifestyle.
But how does the Model 2 stack up against competitors like BYD, which offers EVs under $10,000? Tesla enthusiasts are eager to learn why they should choose the Model 2 over more budget-friendly alternatives. The answer lies in Tesla’s brand reputation, advanced technology, and the promise of an unparalleled driving experience.
Elon Musk has expressed his dedication to producing affordable Tesla models, assuring fans that the Model 2 will deliver a combination of affordability and significant technological advancements. Although the initial customer list for the Model 2 is limited, early adopters will play a crucial role in shaping the vehicle’s future iterations.
While waiting may come with its challenges, patience will pay off. Those who opt for the later versions of the Model 2 can look forward to enhanced features and upgrades that will elevate the driving experience, all while keeping the price manageable.

The look of the Cybertruck is edgy and arguably bold. However, if that look was a Paramount feature there’d be a lot more sold. Making the Mod 2 look more like the Y or 3 is the smarter marketing move. It would be wiser to have a cybercab variant of a 3 or Y looking vehicle than a 2 that looks like a Cybertruck. Also if the Cybercab is signed at 2 passengers, copying it for the Model 2 would be market limiting bc the 2 should be aimed at 4 passengers.
Yall still doing these wicked things in the name of chicken claw under the order of handlehorn?

It all depends on its size and practicality.
A cheap electric car is for regular blue collar workers.
Therefore, if the car is not practical, useful, with a big useful trunk volume, a 5 sitter, and a minimum of 300 miles range, it will be sold modestly.
I hope that Elon will not fucked it up exactly like the cybertruck.

Most new ICE/Hybid cars hitting the road today are over-featured, oversized, over-weight and less reliable that the vehicles of 20 years ago. I don't recall demanding all the complication, unreliability and much higher service and maintenance cost of new vehicles. Reduce the Luxury to normal compact car levels and the Features to a more realistic package that people will actually use and we'll all be happier. Craig Bryant
I like the design and look forward to ordering one.
