In this video, we’ll delve into key details surrounding this groundbreaking launch and discuss the striking absence of Elon Musk’s usual fanfare.
What to Expect
In the video, we explore how potential buyers can place their pre-orders and the regional restrictions that limit accessibility. With pre-orders being tightly controlled, it’s crucial to act quickly before the gates close. The production of the Model 2 has kicked off at Tesla’s Fremont factory, and early sightings of the vehicle in camouflage during testing runs have fueled excitement.
Cutting-Edge Technology
We also address the intriguing question: Does the Tesla Model 2 really utilize aluminum-ion batteries? Elon Musk has made bold claims about this vehicle being built on the most advanced production line, showcasing capabilities that challenge conventional limitations for budget-friendly cars.
Musk’s Silence
One of the focal points of our discussion will be the unusual silence from Musk regarding this launch. Why the low profile? This video aims to uncover the reasons behind this muted announcement and what it means for the future of Tesla and its affordability stance.

Phenomenal vehicle
Can't wait
Too good to be true…I will wait and see.
I want all wheel drive! Heated front seats!
😂😂😂😂 you’re a clown if you believe this
I want to order please contact
BUT does this order come with the ALUMINUM battery? or an LFP pack?
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice I will unsubscribe your ass
In my opinion, Tesla needs to restyle their cars, which they haven't done in over 10 years. If they could achieve the styling close to models shown in this video, as well as offer anywhere close to even 400-500 miles range on a charge, they would stomp BYD into the ground. I'm not a fan ov EV's (yet), but if they could to these two things, I would seriously look at a Tesla. I hope they do.
TOTAL BULLSHIT.
There are no pre-orders available yet for Modal 2.
💩🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
日本語吹き替え版が有れば助かります
No Hatchback on Model 2, That takes me out of the Buying. That is the main reason I was going to buy the Model 2, Boy Tesla is Screwing this up BIGTIME.
Any chance we can have a real person narrate this. A few ums and ahs here and there, would not disappoint us.
The AI voice is freaky.
Anyway, Go Elon Go, if this is anywhere near true.
BYD’s cars are cheaply made and the company DOES NOT make more profit than Tesla. Like all CCP stats, CCP / BYD COOKS THE BOOKS.
Goto the GroceyStore , Watch the Old People that goto their Cars and put their Groceries aboard, They are driving Hatchbacks for easy loading. This is going to take the old people out of the buying of this car and that is one of the reasons that this car was being made.
Why would you create a Tesla two that is affordable and probably will sell like hotcakes why would you limit something like that? That’s why I think it’s not real. You don’t limit a money maker.
I would buy one just so when the gas stations wanna raise their price to the astronautical amount I start driving the Tesla and then the prices of oil go down because nobody’s buying it and for $16,000 you can’t go wrong
Also, that’s a bad picture of Jay Leno if that’s what you’re trying to print out
The Roadster accepted pre orders in 2018.. where is it? Same place this 15k is… let me guess… this car will make you 30 K a year with FSD and making it
Robotaxi? Sure Elon
Clickbait
Total clickbait. The employees with the cheesy smiles starting around 3:48 made me cringe. 😠
You have not once mentioned head and foot room specs. Where can I go near SF to sit in one?
Based on the current technological landscape and Tesla's established manufacturing strategies as of August 2025, the likelihood of the initial run of the Tesla Model 2 coming with newer aluminum-ion batteries is extremely low.
While there is significant online speculation and sensationalized reporting about this possibility, the practical and logistical evidence points overwhelmingly in another direction. Here is a detailed analysis of the factors involved.
The Pragmatic Choice: Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP)
The consensus among industry analysts is that the Model 2 will almost certainly use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries. This is for several key reasons that align directly with the vehicle's primary goal of affordability and mass production:
* Proven Technology at Scale: LFP is a mature, well-understood chemistry. Tesla already uses these batteries in its standard range Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, and major suppliers like CATL can produce them at the massive scale Tesla requires.
* Cost-Effectiveness: LFP batteries are significantly cheaper to produce than nickel-based chemistries (NMC/NCA) because they do not use expensive and supply-constrained materials like cobalt and nickel. This is the single most important factor in achieving the Model 2's target price of around $25,000.
* Safety and Durability: LFP batteries are known for their excellent thermal stability, making them less prone to fire than other lithium-ion types. They also boast a very long cycle life, allowing them to be regularly charged to 100% with minimal degradation, a user-friendly feature for an entry-level vehicle.
The Hurdles for Aluminum-Ion Batteries
Aluminum-ion (Al-ion) is a promising next-generation battery technology, but it is not yet ready for mass-market automotive production. The challenges are significant:
* Lack of Commercial Scalability: As of 2025, aluminum-ion batteries have not been commercially produced at the scale required for the automotive industry. Transitioning from successful lab prototypes to manufacturing millions of reliable, high-quality vehicle battery packs is a monumental step that typically takes many years.
* Low Energy Density: The most critical technical barrier for Al-ion batteries in their current state is lower energy density compared to LFP and other lithium-ion chemistries. This means that for a given weight or size, an aluminum-ion battery stores less energy, resulting in a shorter driving range—a major disadvantage in the competitive EV market.
* Undeveloped Manufacturing and Supply Chains: The entire global battery supply chain is built around lithium-ion chemistries. Launching a new vehicle with aluminum-ion batteries would require Tesla to build a completely new, vertically integrated supply chain for the materials and components, a process that would conflict with the Model 2's timeline and cost targets.
* Misleading Online Reports: Much of the speculation linking the Model 2 to aluminum-ion batteries originates from unreliable YouTube channels and blogs that often misinterpret research papers or create sensationalized "leaks" without credible evidence.
Conclusion
For the Tesla Model 2 to launch successfully in its expected 2026 timeframe, the company will rely on proven, cost-effective, and scalable technology. Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) fits these requirements perfectly.
While aluminum-ion batteries hold exciting potential for the future—offering the promise of faster charging, enhanced safety, and lower material costs—the technology is still in the research and development phase. It is a technology to watch for the late 2020s or early 2030s, but it is not a viable candidate for a vehicle entering mass production in the near term.
I see no black employees only one smiling African.
Y'all can do better than D.E.I. employees who look retarded with their large ear rings lines and Gothic looking liberals.
So, I guess we'll never see an actual car until November?

I want to order it! How
My guess is $16K is Tesla cost to produce. Retail price is typically X2-2.5 cost so expect stripped down bare bone version around $32K but average retail price with add-on features to be $40-45K.
I would really consider the Model 2
Hahahaha… remember the "pre-order" prices and promises for the Cybertruck? How'd that work out?
Meanwhile, as Musk strives towards finalising his $30 Billion payment, he's also apparently diverted NVIDA chips ordered for public company Tesla, to his private company X and xAI. That sounds… ominous.
I trust Musk as much as I trust Trump. ZERO.
Everyone looks at the Tesla cars with the same eyes. How do Tesla cars help disabled, handicapped people, the ability to auto drive , is so valuable to disadvantage people giving them freedom, independence. Are there discounts for available for health sector?
