In this exciting episode of the Best Ever Food Review Show, Sonny and his co-host Maame Boakye take on a daring challenge – surviving 24 hours on African food! From the bustling streets of Accra, the capital of Ghana, to hidden gems like Nyo Nyo Canteen and Ogray’s Special, the duo dives headfirst into the vibrant culinary scene.
Starting off with a flavorful plate of Jollof rice at Nyo Nyo Canteen, they move on to indulge in traditional dishes like Kenkey, Pig Feet Stew, Tatale, and Aboboi. Each bite tells a story of rich flavors, unique ingredients, and the love put into every dish. The adventure reaches its peak at GHastro, where Chef Maame whips up dishes like Ghanaian Deviled Eggs and Guinea Fowl Confit, leaving Sonny and Maame speechless.
Through laughter, banter, and unforgettable meals, Sonny and Maame unravel the mystery behind why Ghanaian food is not as well-known as it deserves to be. As the sun sets on their food-filled journey, they reflect on the passion and ambition behind each dish and the remarkable culinary landscape of Ghana.

Need the country in the title. African is too broad.
I don’t know why the Nigerians and Ghanaians are fighting over jollof rice. Senegalese and Gambian are the original ones to make jollof and they have the best jollof rice. Nigerian and Ghanaian jollof cannot even begin to compare.
CHICHI THE BETRAYAL 😢. GHANA JOLLOF NAH YOU PICK.
Food Looked delicious! Would love to try it one day!
Guys just give Sonnie kenkey with fried fish or grilled tilapia and grinded Pepper with shito and onions. That’s the proper Ghanaian experience. This is the boujie Ghana-ish kenkey experience not the proper Ga kenkey experience
sierra leonian jollof is the best though hehe
Did you know? Cape Town has a Michelin Star Restaurant
.
It's a DOUBLE awkward handshake, you saw it here first folks!

Yess its very Kenky, i think sonny loves kenkky thinh 😂😂😂😂
Nane fl) my fav any day. Preparing some next week. The magic is in the generous amount of onions 🥰😋
Ghana food is better than Nigerian food
I am so happy seeing Sonny try Ghanaian meals. I am so proud to be Ghanaian. God bless you and your team Sonny
Habanero is not African?
The visit to Ghana would have been complete if fufu was added to the list. 😊
Straight up The title – "Surviving" is so Negative – It's sounds like something could be mortally lethal? How about something like just "Trying"
Ghanaians are setting you up Sam. Nigerian jollof is king. 🙂↕️🙂↕️
No way he didn't get the runs on this one
From Bangladesh but I was in Accra for a year. The northern style Jollof is something I had almost everyday. Now that I’m back in Dhaka, my mouth still waters for that Jollof. Love Jollof as much as my biriyani.
