Yall just stay out of high grasses or fields and wear full coverage when mowing tall grass or weeding. Most importantly check yourself. ALSO Lyme disease can go dormant for decades so if your 100% sure you have been bit don’t wait go get tested!!!
Why have ticks become so prevalent recently? When I was a kid I never even thought or heard about them. We were always in the woods and grassy fields with no issue. Now if I accidentally brush against taller grass I panic!
Summit Ice. Deny nothing
Like the whole government hanging your finger! 😅
Just a reminder to everyone to read more about these ticks and diseases to fully understand the risks. Even Brave wilderness can exaggerate things a little bit.
I think it's safe to assume we won't be seeing the american dog tick or australian paralysis tick on the bite sting index? 🤣
Why don't we make lab ticks? Once that can make them go extinct all over the world
That's why i am always scared of ticks
"This will 100% definitely kill you if you don't think about it at least every waking moment for the rest of you life"
How do you spot a zoologist? Ask him for the singular of "Bacteria".
You're warning everyone in a way that makes it seem like you're excited that everyone is getting anxious and scared now.
Why do that???
If you want to warn people, at least mention which countries can stay calm.
I had quite a large Paralysis tick on me last year when looking for snakes, would've only been on my back 30 minutes, I had a large lump and it's true you hardly feel much. Next day had extremely sore and unsteady legs, shaking in the theigh area, and day after that extremely sore lower back I could hardly walk like when I threw my back out. I've had them a few times in the past couple of years, but that was the worst. But I'll take that over life long diseases anyday thankyou!
ty for makeing this video
I hate these things.
Luckily EU primarily has just one – unfortunately, it also carries Lyme and TBE.
A double whammy.
And TBE has no good treatment. It's viral and transmits instantly.
Yikes!
Gotta be thorough at my job even more now throughout the year with the dog ticks.
I guess we're safe in Canada… Must be hard to include the rest of north America… would be ez to expand your target audience but I guess thats too hard for you americans.
Australia has a poor reputation. However, it’s not entirely negative. If people understand what to expect here, they can enjoy observing the animals from afar. For instance, a Magpie (which my family affectionately calls our “friend”) came into my courtyard today and consumed all the spiders from the garden and under the eaves of the house. We don't bother him, but my little kids are always happy to see him and walk gently to the window to take a peek.
