Welcome to Land of Buddha. I visited early this year. Due to lack of time, missed Nalanda University ruins site.
Saw plenty of Burmese, Thais and Bhutanese tourists in Bodh Gaya.
You're right about it being one of the most economically deprived states in India. It also gets bad reputation amongst Indians from other states. Despite it being one of the very resourceful state with also rich history, and having also many rivers flowing through it, today the rampant casteism and people only voting for their caste politicians in state politics it's mostly just a state for politicians and political parties to show their power and the large swathes of its citizens have to migrate to other states to make living, as a labourers or menial job workers. Sad state. But nevertheless it was once a great hub for many ancient kingdoms that put their cultural impact on vaster regions across India.
I guessed right on my second guess but I wish you'd gone to Orissa off the beaten track
Unfortunately I’ve had a lot of rain this October in India, especially in Goa. India in the rain is always a challenge 🙏
I kinda figured it out with "BR" car number plates and when you mentioned it's the poorest part of the country.
Bodh Gaya is the most sacred place in India to seek Nirvana(salvation) for the departed in the family – Only If both your parents have passed, then you might like to do a small Ceremony called 'Pind Daan' for their total salvation from rebirth. Ask around for a good priest and he shall do the needful & will walk you through the ceremony. Does not cost much, 4-5k INR. maybe?
I think with the no blankets in some hotels it may be, that the climate is hot in that country and they normally just use a sheet instead of a blanket. I know in Greece where I grew up, we use just a sheet in the summer.(a blanket in winter) Curious on if you ran into that too during your travels through Greece.
Couldn't pay me to go there.
That silent alright, alright, alright at 7:02 tho.Great vid as always btw..
Beautiful holy place with a rainy melancholic atmosfere!👍

Bro come to Assam. Majuli festival is starting tomorrow. It's the largest river island in the world.

I had a hunch that you are coming to Bodhgaya. Do also visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Nalanda University Ruins, Rajgir-Shanti Stupa and Barabar caves. You'll like it.
