The heartbreaking story of a 95-year-old man living in a British Columbia hospital after being evicted from his independent living residence due to running out of rent money sheds light on the urgent need for more subsidized housing for the elderly in the province. James Cullina, who spent his life savings and took out $25,000 in loans to pay for housing at Sunnyside Manor, was left with no options after being told he had to leave. Despite staying briefly with a member of his church, he ultimately ended up at Peace Arch Hospital, where he has been for the past five days. This situation highlights the struggles that many seniors face in finding affordable living arrangements, and serves as a reminder of the importance of ensuring that our elderly population has access to suitable housing options.

May God bless and keep this poor man. He doesnt deserve this
If you voted liberal or ndp pat yourself on the back, you voted for this.
😢😢😢
We live in Ontario or we would absolutely welcome him into our home.
I know this is JT's fault, what will be different after JT?
The government has money to other countries but no money for Canada.
Oh canada, no home or helping hand. Tru do destroyed, come on sing along!
this government funds drugs for addicts lol
We back pay asylum seekers to the tune of $75,000. Yet the heroes who helped build this country are left out on the street. What’s wrong with you people who vote for these radical NDP/Liberal policies.
I bet Da vid E by and Jo hn H organ have places to sleep tonight though.
This is what happens when a government cares more about people from other countries than it does about its own citizens. All foreign aid should stop, all asylum seekers should be turned back and all those already in the country should be removed. Stop throwing money at all these programs for low income people and start focusing on things that matter. We are no longer governed by people that put the best interests of the people first. We are governed by arrogant politicians that put their own interests first then those of friends in business. There is no doubt in my mind that our current prime minister is a truly evil person that should never have held any position of power.
thanks to variable interest rates and stagnant wages this is the future that awaits all of us.
Stop pumping money into wars and start helping seniors!
Marxist-Feminists destroyed the family unit. Families support seniors. Somehow we have plenty of money for immigrants.
If I had money, I'd get him a home. This angers me. It is so sad.
Taking care of people costs a LOT of money regardless of the reason! All I ever, ever hear is rage against the government (regardless of which party) and still very few taking care of their own families!
THANK YOUUUU ALL MIRACULOUS RESCUERS….On March 18th 2023 God told me that they are keeping Children prisoners and tortured underground and that He will Save only the ones Praying really hard for those Children…..NO ONE ELSE ….GOD BLESS 🙏 💞 💖

Good job Eby !!! You managed to do the exact opposite of the NDP’s original values. But your deranged loyal NDP supporters with still vote for you
This is a mortal sin what this gov is doing to our seniors
We need to speak up more and more and more
We are all these seniors have
They spoke up for us and fought for us
Time to give back to them
Did you ever vote Liberal or NDP?
Champagne taste, beer pocket book, it’s not communism
This is just more damage caused by liberal policy's. Justen Trudeau has made being born here a crime. Payed taxes all his working life and that got him homless at over ninety. Thanks again justin
Thanks LIBS and NDP
NDP have achieved their goals for seniors
Who tricked all these people into thinking refugees are the problem? I know some people are stupid, but really?
Welcome to BC where are seniors are being left homeless because of the BC government that all they care is money and no soul. Shame on you BC government 😔
Shame on you Trudeau for destroying the lives of seniors, veterans and families across the country
This is the Trudeau legacy. What a shame of a country we have become ! 😡
PATHETIC! Maybe contact Ebey and see what they can do about it! 🙁
Shame to Canada, First world country with third world living.
My heart breaks 💔We must do much better and support our seniors who have given their working lives to make our country prosper.
Ah for gods sake, thats a joke. What a horrible situation to be dealing with at that age.
Shame on the Canadian government! Instead of sending montane resources to Latvia and Ukraine! Those funds could have helped a lot of struggling folks within the country! Gods going to punish the selfish politicians draining the country of its money and resources. So says me!
Welkkkome to Kkkanada
