Hezbollah asserts responsibility for rocket strike in northern Israel depths

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a rocket attack that struck deep inside northern Israel, targeting the Ramat David Airbase and the Rafael defense firm near Haifa. This attack is in retaliation for Israeli strikes that resulted in the deaths of Lebanese civilians. The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel has escalated, with hundreds of rockets being launched by both sides.

The Israeli military reported that firefighters are battling fires near Haifa as a result of the rocket attacks, with several injuries and damage reported in the area. In Kiryat Bialik, near Haifa, three people were injured and significant damage was caused by rockets launched by Hezbollah.

This latest round of attacks comes after Israel reportedly targeted 400 sites belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The conflict between the two sides has reached a critical point, with the exchange of fire being the largest since the war on Gaza began.

Al Jazeera’s Dorsa Jabbari reports from Beirut on the escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, while Alex Gatopoulus joins the studio to discuss the latest developments. The situation remains volatile as both sides continue to engage in violence, with no clear end in sight to the conflict.
