There is (was?) a boat tour just north of city center where you can charter a small speed boat and go cruise into North Korea. Back in 2015 I took this boat and went into the housing compounds and saw their daily life within 20yards. A military officer with a gun even shyly waved at our boat as we cruised by. We also encountered a North Korean vendor who rowed his boat beside ours to sell items from North Korea. Now I think about it, maybe a bit risky (if the boat sank we would be walking onto North Korean land) but when you’re young and curious there wasn’t much hesitation to hop on that tour boat.
9:01 the lady says the man you trying to talk to is actually chinese. BTW, in this city, there are a lot of korean chinese which are korean ethnic minority group living in China for hundreds of years.
Basically, the People's Republic of China wanted to make North Korea China's local province…but the chubby leader of the NK regime already knew the idea. So, he built two Army divisions to block the PLA's sudden invasion. However, the Army divisions can't stop the PLA's massive attack, thus, Kim just disconnected the line with China. The bridge is the diplomatic symbol of China & North Korea…but Kim didn't want to use it. Recently, Kim announced that China is the No.1 enemy of DPRK. It made Xi angry and Kim took the line of Russia to survive.
those u tried to talk with are actually Korean chinese lol, they speak korean but they are chinese, they speak chinese too. u wont see any north korean people just walking on the street. that's impossible
Nice video but there is some misleadings moments like with lady from restaurant.
Suggestion: visit the mountain of discarded clothes in the Atacama Desert, in Chile. This place has been used to dispose of clothes that come from all over the world. It is the synthesis of the self fashion concept.
Oro Para Que El Pueblo De Corea Del Norte,Sea Libre De Esa Tiranía Extrema.Merecen Que Caigan Ese Tipo De Regímenes Opresores,El Señor Traiga Su Paz A Corea Del Norte.❤🎉❤🎉
Un carcere a cielo aperto come tanti d'altronde 🤮
sei dankbar, dass der Typ dich nicht geschlagen hat
but…… at 9:04 ,what that Chinese women saied is they can't understand, they are Chinese
North Korea did not do what America did in Hiroshima, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Cuba and Venezuela.
What a risk you took Drew!
It's true American are mainly doing spying
I pray that Donald Trump comes into power. Donald Trump has made us realize the importance of saving in digital currency, which I have already started doing, and I’m always happy about that.
I think its crazy that chinese people can go there to then NK border only to see a place more locked down and restricted than china
why would you go to the peoples country and speak lesser of them compared to your country?
Great insights, Drew! It's wild to see what happens at the North Korea/China border. I can just imagine if Shrinktender, my grumpy bartender character, were there, everyone would probably unite just to escape his sarcasm!
this guy's overdramatic filming tactics borders on propaganda it's insane
Se comportan como una fórmula lactea
This guy is an absolute joke. How can someone willingly post themselves in such an embarrassing light?
20:48 looks like Eminem-Shirt ^^
Bro hold camera everywhere in China to film but complain about china have too much cctv . Bro no one is watching you behind that cctv. If government offer that kind job. China will immediately erase jobless problems
Very cool that you have a currency collection – I also bought NK currency when I visited the DMZ! If you ever have questions about your coins or currency feel free to ask!
save ypur life
Why are americana this stupid? Like they pretend everyone should act like they do in their country.
Calling cctv cameras on the street weird, meanwhile having school shoppings almost everyday, ignoring that Hollywood literally does American propaganda for the world.
Stupid ass people
Great video! I would love to go by some certified North Korean art. Does anyone know the exact name or location of that shop?
So dramatic with intense music, it's like a fake documentary from BBC or CNN, the border city was visited by many youtubers and streamers, and it's calm touristic city with beautiful views, the videos are everywhere. you didn't do an achievement of "investigation" by going there, you are just one of many tourists.
You are not a visitor you are a pure propogandist. No one would welcome to you like this makeing very disrespectful content for other countries.
Insane!! Dumbass! You have to know your on your own.
just imagine how striving that city on the other side could be striving if the border was open.
So many tankie or official Chinese propagandists in these comments. Means you're doing a good job. Yes, other influencers film this city, but no other Westerners go there. So yeah, it's quite possible to not encounter any others during your stay.
I had no idea that China even accepted North Korean refugees. You'd think with the alliance between the two countries, anyone escaping would just immediately be sent back. It's not like China doesn't know exactly who they are.
If you ever got the chance, would you visit North Korea? I'm curious to hear what you have to say!
