Possible 80 cm of Snow to Hit Parts of Ontario: Anticipate Epic Snowfall

Residents in Ontario should brace themselves for some intense winter weather as “incredible snow totals” are expected to hit various parts of the province in the coming days. Meteorologist Anthony Farnell has warned that a shift in temperatures over the Great Lakes will create ideal conditions for heavy snowfall.

Due to record mild water temperatures in the lakes, a change in temperature between the lake and the air is set to trigger lake effect snow. Farnell has stated that areas downwind of all five Great Lakes will experience significant snowfall, making travel difficult during the weekend. The snow squalls from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are expected to intensify early Friday morning and persist until early next week.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather warnings and to take precautions when traveling in these treacherous conditions. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing weather pattern in Ontario.
