Estonian music group 2XL, featuring Tanel Padar and Dave Benton, made history in 2001 by winning the Eurovision Song Contest with their song ‘Everybody’. This upbeat track received 198 points and marked Estonia’s first victory in the contest. The win was significant as it was the first victory for a former Soviet country since their debut in the 1990s, and Dave Benton became the first Black performer to win the contest. The group’s success led to Estonia hosting the contest in 2002. The song’s infectious party vibe and catchy chorus captivated audiences, earning it ‘douze points’ from nine countries. Their victory on the Eurovision stage solidified 2XL’s place in music history.

This song is just pure joy, love it
Excuse me Sir, but Greece was the REAL winner of Eurovision back in 2001 😢🇬🇷
I know this is Iconic

What a boring song Greece should have won. 0pts from Türkiye to this song.
And Dave Benton is still the only black musician to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Not that bad a song at all. It's high time Estonia won again.
In my opinion the worst modern winner of Eurovision by far… 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
come on everybody let's sing along!
In 2001, during Eurovision night, I was in another city where I did not have a TV set and my mom recorded Eurovision on a VHS cassette for me. She played the song when I called. Great memories. The story is about our love for Eurovision and my mom's love for me.
💙🖤🤍
Thanks for so interesting and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
Winning Song 😴😴😴😪 oookay
An underrated gem of a winner. Huge love from Manhattan!
One of the best winners ever
I still sont understand how this came even in the top 5, let alone victory.
Why is Belgium not in the betting market
Don’t get why so many hate this, it’s so fun and groovy! People just hate good fun, always a classic for me at least 💙🖤🤍
I was 11 year old❤
I have opposite feelings for this song. On one hand, Estonia has a special place in my Eurovision heart and hearing that Estonia had won made me so damn happy. But on the other hand, I swear I prefer years when Estonia got out in semifinal than this song. This shows how standards in Eurovision changed in more than twenty years.
Huge love Estonia from Italy 🇪🇪🇮🇹
These guys are awsome. Thats just a fact.
Even after 23 years, I am still disappointed that I literally slept through the contest and I missed my country winning. I found out about the winning at my school's bulletin board. But to be fair, I didn't even knew what Eurovision is back then. Became a fan in 2002, briefly lost interest when Austria and Israel won. And now after Switzerland won, I am not sure if I even want to watch next year's competition.
We need this on Spotify!!
This is one of few songs from years gone by we put on to just dance and feel happy.
this song brought me to Eurovision
(it was March 2024 at that time)
I'm sorry, I love Estonia at Eurovision but… Greece, France, Sweden and Spain all had better entries…
Even after all these years I still have no idea how Estonia won the competition. France should have taken the first place
Not going to lie, while it's not my favorite song from 2001, I actually like it. "Everybody" gave Estonia their first win, and the song itself is cheerful and fun.
C’MON EVERYBODY
This winning is just as puzzling as Azerbaijan 2011.
I really want Estonia to win again so this trash isn’t their legacy
😊👏👍🙌🔝🔥
