The controversial $56 billion pay deal for Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been rejected for the second time by a judge in Delaware, according to a report by BBC News.
The deal, which would have been the largest pay award in corporate history, was initially approved by Tesla shareholders in 2018. However, it has faced legal challenges and scrutiny from critics who believe it is excessive.
In his ruling, the judge cited concerns about the potential impact of such a large pay package on Tesla’s shareholders and the company’s financial stability. He also raised questions about the process by which the pay deal was approved and whether it was in the best interests of the company.
Musk, who is known for his ambitious goals and futuristic vision, has often been a lightning rod for controversy. His immense wealth and influence have made him a polarizing figure in the business world.
The rejection of his record-breaking pay deal is sure to reignite debates about executive compensation and the responsibilities of corporate leaders. It also raises questions about the future direction of Tesla and Musk’s role within the company.
As the legal battle over his pay package continues, it remains to be seen what impact this decision will have on Tesla’s performance and Musk’s standing as a business leader.

Ah poor Elon.
I heard they are having a benefit concert in Africa to raise funds for him.
"Who is worth 56 billion"? – Well, thats not up to you to decide. Not this judge either. This judge is over stepping her authority.
Dumbest genius on planet earth lol
lol how can a judge say shareholders were too influenced by Musk? Wtf is that?
Erm, but Tesla is junk????
People who benefit our societies are always rewarded by our societies. Genuinely ?.
This is utter bullshit! I'm a long-term Tesla shareholder, and I voted for this pay package. The goals that had to be met to earn these were nearly impossible—absolutely crazy levels of difficulty (look it up)! So much so that few thought it was even possible. And yet he rallied the Tesla team, and they did it! I voted for this twice, as did nearly all the shareholders, and for a judge to come in and totally disrespect all shareholders like this is absolutely ludicrous.
The shareholder that brought this court case forward literally owns 10 shares, barely a token amount! That’s not an investor. In my mind, this is absolutely corrupt and criminal and has nothing to do with fairness. This is a 100% politically motivated attack at the cost of Tesla shareholders.
And BBC, you're becoming pretty disgusting yourselves, pushing this narrative while refusing to mention every critical fact needed to understand what’s going on here. If you had any one of the millions of actual shareholders on to talk about what actually matters, you'd find out very quickly that the narrative you're pushing is wrong, manipulative, and fucked up. That kind of manipulative bias is gradually pushing the population away as you hit subjects that people actually know about. I remember when the BBC had integrity. No more! You're lucky you have a silver spoon to fuel these tailored narratives because if it was up to the open market, you'd be forced to do better or die.
I think he's got enough money as is

Trully gutted for the guy, I mean that's ONLY over 11k per vehicle sold.
Good
This package is larger than packages combined for all ceos of all Fortune 500 companies. It was used to make it extremely hard to get rid of Elon. It definitely is excessive. He’d be getting $10000 for every Tesla sold. If a shareholder voted for this, they were doing this against their own interests. What if Elon started running the company into the ground? Too bad- get rid of him and you bankrupt the company. It ensured mutual destruction.
😂😅😂😅 swindler
If Musk doesn’t get the deal, Tesla doesn’t. Good luck shareholders
Leave it to a trump supporter in thinking it’s a migrant picking vegetables & fruit on a farm that’s causing low wages for everyone, instead of looking at this pyramid scheme that musk operates where he concentrates all generosity onto himself.
Good!
