I just bought myself Amy's tortilla soup! bet that would also pair well with the chips. I gotta try that sometime.
That restaurant's ridiculously expensive. You'd be better off buying some food than taking it back to your room.
💗💗💗💗
Hawaii doesn't interest me..thanks
💡👍Brilliant !!
Your a amazing person thanks for the videos
Does look very nice !
I suppose I still would opt for elsewhere where the culture is more interesting !
Enjoy – I knew the guy Eric from Petaluma who came up with the Amy's chili recipe 😊
It's nice to just explore without a lot of people, my favorite 😁😎☀️🌊 ❤
I’m at the stage in life, where, places like Hawaii aren’t exotic enough, for me. However, I thoroughly enjoy ALL your videos, Gabe. You’re all that Rick Steves ever hoped to be.😂
You can get a pretty affordable plate lunch at Waipouli Deli in the strip mall next to the Safeway, head south behind McDonald's. Also, Wailua Drive Inn just about 1/4 mile south of you, or at Super No1 at Haleilio road and the Hwy. It's a 1/2 mile from where you are toward your hotel, for next time you're in the area.
You should have taken us grocery shopping with you. My wife embarrasses me by screaming "$2.99/lb for an onion!" 🤣🤣
I do wish you wouldn’t ramble so much about everything and talk more about what your seeing.
What will happen to your Canadian passport once Canada becomes the 51st? 🙃
Hawaii is beautiful, and I enjoyed the week I spent there, but I could have done 3 weeks in Mexico for the price I paid for a week there.
I would go to food land and get some poke for a cheap good meal
😎😎😎
2:34 that's the best tasting sparkly water ever
No desire at all to visit Hawaii. Oh all the sand comes from Aussie lol
Aloha Gabriel, the place looks similar to where I live in Queensland Australia, both places expensive, both places rains a lot. $57.00 for a bag or groceries, it's too much. Enjoy the rest of your stay.
Youve got the Charleton Heston look going Gabe, just part the waves, LOL. Great series . I try not to miss a video, except the ones from Canada. I live in Canada, lol.
Gabe, do you ever miss companionship? Could you ever do a 9-5, picket fence, kids etc?….curious!
I've traveled a lot but never went to Hawaii. I saw quite a few videos on those islands. I plan to visit at least once. I think the best island for a first-time visitor would be Maui. Continue your good work, Gabriel
The answer to the title of this video is a resounding NO. You should have known that though, so I don't feel sorry for you. Hawaii is a blue state, nothing more need be said.
Hey Gabe, I'm just wondering if you could tell us how you reset your sleeping schedule when you fly between time zones that are so far apart? Hawaii is 2-4 hours behind Mexico, so how did you fix your sleeping schedule so quickly?? Just wondering!
Hawaii is so beautiful!! Thanks for the videos Gabe.
I hate to say this ,but this part of Hawaii looks boring, beaches crap, nature tamed, wouldn't go there if I was paid.
Kauai is awesome but full of pissed of Hawaiians. Dont try to sleep in your car there without getting hassled.
hitch it
Gabe, this was one of your most genuine pieces of art! Niiice work, man!
So is there a cooking video on the horizon?
"BUGET"??? OHHHH?
You probably are already aware but search Taylor Camp Kauai for some cool history.
I remember the bus being freezing cold because of air conditioning. But that was Oahu.
My hunch confirmed. Be a pauper in HI or middle class in MX or India or even parts of Europe… I almost can feel the vibes through video… more stress , more vetting the options, more analyzing…HI is $$$$….hell on natives and hell on budget travelers.
Bro, rent a car
I'm surpriced that you did not visit the COCO PALMS. You must not be a Elvis fan as I am LOL. I celebrated my 50th in Maui and my 55th in Kauai and m 60th in Honolulu. Yes, visited all the famous spots including had to touch that grande door to the concert place that where Elvis did perform that Aloha 1973 concert. Went to Pearl Harbor rented Harley to ride around the island etc etc seen it all. Now, no more Hawaii only Mexico so Viva Mexico, those Hawaii'en days are over. Nothing stays the same as they say. We get old if we live long enough and then we still die so Viva La Vida and Viva Mexico.
This is the time of year (next month for sure) that the surf competitions are happening on Oahu North Shore, monster waves at Waimea and Sunset, smart not to venture too far out, the rip tides can be dangerous in the winter, maybe if you had a wrist strap for the camera.
Brilliant as usual Gabe, loved seeing your old landscaping job which I would imagine was very pleasurable
I wonder where all the Lost sets are? Would be interesting to see if you could visit them
The question is if someone who changes countries so radically can be mentally healthy! All alone and no idea what he has missed. Since 4 years travelling with my Mexican girlfriend. Not only in Mexiko City terribly catching the surface of the surface.
If you think about it, it is hilarious people won’t pick up a hitchhiker but if someone pays them through UBER, all of a sudden they’ll pick up a stranger 😂.
Wish you make a few seconds of cooking Gab🍻
Gabriel when he meets a person in any country of the world from any place "Where you're from? …yeah, I've been there too before, nice place" xD
The value is just not there. Banff seems cheap by comparison.
Trouble in paradise: Which was it? The rain or the high prices?
Gabe … regardless of discounts Hawaii condo/hotel prices R ridiculous! … cheaper than 2 Uber rides U coulda rented a car thru Turo & driven to a few places & saved a bunch on that bag of groceries!
