Ina Garten’s Easy Cranberry and Apple Cake is the perfect dessert to impress your guests with minimal effort. This recipe is simple to follow and is sure to become a favorite in your home.
To start, gather your ingredients: fresh cranberries, a Granny Smith apple, light brown sugar, orange zest, orange juice, cinnamon, eggs, granulated sugar, butter, vanilla extract, sour cream, all-purpose flour, and kosher salt.
Begin by preheating your oven to 325 degrees F. In a bowl, mix together the cranberries, apple, brown sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs before adding in the granulated sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and sour cream. Slowly incorporate the flour and salt into the wet ingredients.
Pour the fruit mixture into a glass pie plate, followed by the batter to cover it completely. Sprinkle a mixture of sugar and cinnamon on top before baking for 55 to 60 minutes. Once done, the cake should be golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle should come out clean.
This Cranberry and Apple Cake is best served warm or at room temperature. The combination of tart cranberries, sweet apple, and warm cinnamon flavors make for a delicious and comforting dessert. Whether enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, this cake is sure to be a hit at any gathering.

How.are.you❤
I'd call this a pie.
Hmmm looks yummy ❤
I've made this many times; it's absolutely delicious!
Can frozen cranberries be user?
Cranberries, apples, and orange segments with the zest comprise my homemade Thanksgiving relish. I use less sugar to let the berry tartness shine through.
The filling would make a marvelous compote as well—-on a cold weekend morning over pancakes or with oatmeal, muffins, toast, etc. I use Swerve brown sugar instead of the high carb type Ina used.
Jeffery loves Ina's cranberry

I bet this would be great with a glass of Ocean Spray cranberry apple juice! 😉

Cup measurements have nothing to do with precision…

Instead of cranberries what else do you suggest using that teams well with apples?? 🤔
