Orania is not a Town. Its a private estate within a town. They are no different to any other SAn. They pay taxes and are subject to SA law. They also connect to the main SA power grid.
They must start saving money since the natives they pushed out of that land have a big land claim coming.

Don't know if this was/is mentioned in the chat,but it just hit me,the new Law passed by Cyril/ANc could be to immediately shut down Oranje/Orania.Expropriation of Land without Compensation.This dream that every citizen has in The Republic are being lived and enjoyed by residents of Orania.Just shows that our country RSA can be a beautiful place to raise kids if our dreams for the country can be shared by all.(Not just the minority trying to get back what they believe they deserve)The idea of Orania is beautiful but could be short lived with new law passed-I hope i'm so wrong

60 million blacks are not capable of building this kind of self sufficient neighbourhood so they'd rather destroy it instead of learning from them.

South African Constitution allows self determination in true form. Property and Land Acts/ Laws also allows for any group of people to purchase and demarcation it to be used by a specific group of people as long as it's not done so to discriminate against other races, our gates communities across South Africa abide by the same laws. Orania's case is the same as my gated community. Orania people understand very well that they can't discriminate against other races and there are black people living in Orania. The township is 97% black there townships that are 100% black. People choose where they want to live as long as their associations is not based on discrimination, all is well. That's the beauty of South Africa. Those who comment on corruption, ANC, and racism, well, you greatly mislead. Every human being is capable of being a thief, it doesn't come with a skin colour. As South Africans we know UK is built on the theft of our own resources. Entire Europe is built on the theft of African resources. So the poverty and wars you see in Africa was created by Europe.

Before watching this video about Orania, I had watched the one by Weyni. Well, I can see that the CEO of the city, Joost, used RealCoolVision’s interview to perfectly address all of Weyni’s accusations of racism. The leaders of Orania have mastered the art of communication—they’re real politicians. Of course, they’re racist, but what bothers me the most, as an African born and raised in France, is the massive difference between a society run by Westerners and one run by AF. Beyond incompetence and corruption, I believe AF leaders have a deep disdain for their own people. It’s truly sad. It makes me so sad.

Another great video. Joost used the phrase "make a plan". There is an old Afrikaans saying "'n Boer maak 'n plan", which literally means "a farmer makes a plan". The Boers always found innovative and unusual ways to solve problems – nothing deters them. In addition to comparing Oranians with Amish and Old Believers, I thought of the movie "Kubanskie Kazaki" (The Cossacks of the Kuban), after seeing those wheat fields – "The Cossacks of the Orange". Note that a pharmacy is an "apteek", almost like "apteka"!

Hello guys. I forgot to say ANYBODY can visit Orania. South Africa is a rainbow nation where every ethniciny is represented. We visited Orania, an Afrikaner-only community on our way to Durban. Some say it's controversial. Some say it's culture preservation. Let me know what you think!
