You love your Quiche 😆
you got me hooked on that song "Trouble stay away from my door"
"hanging out" with sheep is very popular in NZ
Are you heading back to India? The last day of Kumbh Mela is February 26th.
Second 😊
Not first
love your shirts!
It was so great to see the beautiful little Hobbit village through your video. I'd live in one of those houses ( with more windows 😀)
oh yea
So far, I am not wowed by New Zealand. The advantage you have is time. Time to explore areas that the average tourist may never visit. By the way, how do you stay so thin eating those sweets for breakfast?
I’m glad you got some good weather. It does rains a lot here. Enjoy.
Why are there so many power outages
Looking forward to more of your journey through the “land of the long white cloud”.
Thank you for bringing back memories of Rotorua and the north island.
Cheers 🇦🇺🍺
Highly recommend going for a soak in thermal hot pool, try Polynesian Spa in Rotorua or De Bretts in Taupo or google for the roadside free spots, there's plenty to choose from. Im biased as Rotorua is my hometown, but you won't regret to go back and see a real Kiwi and check out Pohutu geyser in full display, it's a blast !
“Trouble stay away from my doorrrrrrrrrrr.” 🙏🏻🥴🙄🤨
Gabe, the fancy building with the clock tower would have been the original town hall and council/ city offices.
A lot of these have now been super ceded. But typically they are heritage listed and can’t be demolished or altered significantly. Hence they get repurposed for community use or the tourist info place or similar.
The South Island is way prettier by the way. Although much more sparsely populated.
PS are you finding the accent hard to understand or no?
29:50 "What are you worried about?" That guy was next level chill.
Thanks!
Lake Taupo was a super volcano, one of the largest volcanic eruptions ever I believe. A long time ago obviously before humans lived on New Zealand, but I believe it had global consequences.
HOT WATER BEACH!!! Get a shovel and make yourself a hot spring pool at the beach.
🍻🎙
Gas station pies can be so so, bakeries typically do better pies. Typically you can search on google for the best pie shops in the area with some places voted for the best pies in that region for example.
Hi Gabriel, it was a long and exhausting day but extremely interesting. The geysers reminded me of Yellowstone National Park. I notice that there are no other types of wildlife around which is kind of strange. The Kiwi is endangered which may tell you something about humans' encroachment on wildlife in these areas. Power going out is a frequent problem in the Caribbean. Many places are resorting to alternative energy solar, wind, and so forth but the transition is a slow process. Another thing I didn't see backup power generator didn't see though it may not be a frequent problem there.
That building at 18:25 was an i-Site which is a tourist information centre – there’s one in every decent sized town and city. Look for that big green ‘I’! They’ll be able to tell you where in the area you can find a kiwi-house! Also that cooling tower you saw is not nuclear – we are nuclear free in NZ. It’s for geothermal power – there’s a lot of energy in that underground heat!
Thank You Gabriel for Another Amazing Adventure Safe Travels from Canada🙂💙👍
