In recent years, tensions have been mounting in the Baltic Sea as accusations of sabotage involving undersea cables have surfaced, pitting Russia against NATO. The commercial ships suspected of cutting these vital cables are said to be linked to the Kremlin, using their anchors to deliberately inflict damage. Additionally, similar incidents involving Chinese-affiliated ships have raised concerns about potential collaboration between Moscow and Beijing in disrupting underwater infrastructure.
The significance of these cable cuts cannot be understated, as they play a crucial role in facilitating communication and data transmission between countries. With the Baltic Sea becoming a battleground for this shadow war, NATO has been forced to increase patrols and bolster military presence to safeguard these critical underwater assets.
WSJ delves into the intricate dynamics at play in this hybrid warfare, highlighting the strategic implications behind these acts of sabotage. The narrative points towards Russia’s involvement in these deliberate disruptions, with the aim of destabilizing the region and potentially gaining a tactical advantage.
As NATO grapples with the challenge of defending against these threats, the organization is exploring various options to address the escalating tensions. From ramping up surveillance measures to enhancing security protocols, NATO remains vigilant in protecting the underwater infrastructure that is vital to global connectivity.
The Baltic Sea serves as a stark reminder of the complex geopolitical landscape that is constantly evolving, with state actors increasingly using unconventional tactics to further their agendas. As Russia and China continue to assert their influence in the region, the specter of hybrid warfare looms large, underscoring the need for robust defense mechanisms and strategic partnerships to counter such threats.

Better question is why would someone cut the cables , one option is that its some form of experimantation but I think thats unlikely , what exactly do they gain by cutting undersea cables?
Good propaganda. Yes we truest blindly 🤣🤣🤣
Are we surprised? It’s a game of “you cut ours…. We cut yours”
Easy to understand which countries ruSSia will invade next…confirming the infamous map that lukashenko leaked 3 years ago…in the meantime china just exported that tactic to Taiwan…
Not a single proof has been presented that it is a russian or chinese backed ship.. All speculation.. Waste of time and money to be called credible journalism
Trump aligning with Russia is treason.
He is the dumbest president in US history.
Is the US TRUMP ADMINISTRATION involved⁉️
Oh so cutting cable is declaration of war but destroying pipeline is not? Hypocrites….
I can bet the first cable cut was of Kaliningrad
Europeans and false flags
Those cables are essentially communication pipelines, and cutting them is the equivalent of jamming signals. Russia and China are playing a dangerous game here.
propaganda
Two train delraimnets in sweden are also suspected to be from russia buy the media didn't promote that story all that much. Not to mention the occasional sub in swedish waters.
Bucha, was killing civilians in Bucha a war crime?
Wow amazing, journalism at its best, if anyone wants to know how to conjure up anti Russian and Chinese propaganda without a shred of evidence, watch this video.
Because NATO lacks enemies, China and Russia are NATO's ideal imaginary enemy!
Valerii Zaluzhnyi would never have a group do such a thing. Not to mention that there is no such ship as Eagle S.

i’m so glad that Bezos hasn't been convinced to go pro russia yet. at least WSJ still is allowed to publish a little bit of objective journalism. we'll see how long it lasts before this video gets deleted.
how long have they been sitting on this story?
Bulgarian ship did cut the cable also but mute
Binance infinity ETH bug right now
I just made a video to show that<
I love how Russia apparently cut it's only cable between Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg.
Just like it apparently blew it's own gas pipeline to Germany.
😂. it's open season for sabatoge,, Trump won't respond because it Clash's with his delusional view of the world order.. expect a ramp up
Boy who cried wolf
Good thing we got the orange man at the helm, which wants to destroy the NATO and see Putin as his best friend and totally trustworthy…..
"But what if we're no longer talking about one, two, or three cables, but about 10. Could cutting too many cables at the same time be misinterpreted as a declaration of war by Russia?""
Meanwhile, blowing up the nord stream 2 could be misinterpreted as a declaration of war by NATO?
Ohh wait, you've already done it and nothing happened so I don't think cutting cables would be misinterpreted as a "Declaration of War", this is just propaganda.
Here's my take. its alarming. could be considered a preamble to war. no matter who you support i think Russia would be to weak to storm the Baltic under a still standing NATO. Its likely a well hidden exercise. one is a mistake. 10 is suspicious. for them to be only the ones linked to the Baltic and Russia. is also suspicious. oh and Finland. which if you want to hold the Baltic. for better security in those waters. you probably want to take Finland also. its simply a proof of concept how easy it is and a test of security for that infrastructure. which this proves is more than just a theory. one fleet of ships in a single night. they don't even have to be military. obviously i know these happened over a year. But with coordination. by sea you could effectively cut off the Baltic. consolidate the gap between Belarus and Kaliningrad. a week at best depending on the forces stationed there. the Baltics would be taken. Unless they went full guerrilla. which you just cant beat that. it wouldn't be so easy for the Finns though
Another video to demonize Russia and china !!!
Every other video WSJ makes are to either demonize Russia or China , else to show how human rights are only for white race
Logic suggests probably the same party who blew up Nord Stream.
The most modern society in the history of man. Yet, our childish Governments still can't adopt John Forbes Nash's most prolific theory…..so they cut eachothers cables like toddlers in a daycare. Pathetic.
No one fears the West
russia invaded a sovereign European nation. rump is a LIAR.
Can you make a video about how the US severed the nordstream pipeline….. lets talk about how shady the Americans are…. and now you have Trump hahahaha yeah!
