My last day in Taiwan was bittersweet as I bid farewell to one of my favorite countries. I spent the day exploring two contrasting but equally charming destinations: the quaint mountain town of Jiufen and the bustling port city of Keelung.
In Jiufen, I meandered through narrow cobblestone streets lined with traditional red lanterns, soaking up the nostalgic atmosphere that inspired the film “Spirited Away.” Surrounded by misty mountains and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Jiufen felt like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
In Keelung, I wandered through vibrant markets filled with fresh seafood and local delicacies. The bustling harbor and colorful fishing boats added to the lively atmosphere of this coastal city. As I watched the sunset over the ocean, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the unforgettable memories Taiwan had given me.
Throughout my travels, I’ve been fortunate to experience the diverse landscapes and rich culture that Taiwan has to offer. From bustling cities to serene mountains, this island nation has something for every traveler.
As I prepare to leave Taiwan, I can’t help but feel a sense of longing to return in the future. The warm hospitality of the Taiwanese people and the stunning beauty of the country have left a lasting impression on me. Taiwan will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my favorite destinations.

I heard America’s taking back the Panama Canal and if they like it or not Greenland, I love the expansion
😎👍✌️😊❤
I juat got back from Jiufen and Shifen but the weather is so crappy. It was raining whole day and I was drenched from head to toes. It seems the same weather forecast for tomorrow.
Hope you can come back and spends more time here! 👍
I can’t wait too see this place in April, these videos are so useful to me
It's a pity that you missed the place you really needed to go in Jiufen.
You just walked around and left.
I suggest you look up pictures of Jiufen on Google
It’s great you have travel flexibility in order to adapt to the weather forecast, I guess your in Bangkok, I hear it’s very hot there now
Juifen on a weekend is a bit too touristy but that Golden waterfall is beautiful. The Jinguashi area nearby has a very famous hike (teapot mountain) & a neat Gold Museum…for next time!
Did you end up taking a train back from Keelung to where you were staying (Songshan)? It's really simple, straightforward and cheap. Hope you had a good time and visit again. There is a LOT more to see in just Taipei, let alone the rest of Taiwan.
same, i always have a blast when ever I'm in Taiwan… Also Coffee there is very under rated, dare I say Coffee quality is best in region, better than in S. Korea and Japan.
Are you planning on going to mainland china aytime soon?
Taiwan is not a country
Hi Gabriel, what a day of traveling around! The lines of people shopping and eating around the market area seem like a simulation. It's too bad you can't go to mainland China and see the Great Wall of China or the Forbidden City, which would seem like endless places to visit. I'm guessing you're heading to South Korea or Vietnam, which are beautiful and interesting. Later, as the weather gets better, head to Japan to see the cherry blossoms in spring.
Hopefully they will remain independent from the imperialist bully
Noticed how clean the streets are everywhere. 👍
Gabe. Craig the reckon's time flies when your having fun fan UK.
Before you mentioned an even newer place you arrived at. Well done Gabe traveller.
Looked good! Taiwan, hot was it? Your doing great see you soon.
Thank you.
What a beautiful place! I loved the view on the stairs. Could see myself living there 😊
I don't think Asia is suitable for you to explore, because the food and people are more densely populated.

So in your last video you've changed your mind? You now consider Taiwan a country? Great to hear 😊No doubt you've seen from the locals their perspective, and it changed your mind.
In the galaxy, TSMC's technology is low end
You made a good decision. Okinawa is best visited in May to Oct with the sun by your side. Awaiting your next destination.
Cowabunga Dude! My dream is to one day meet up with you in Taiwan🥂💚💖
All those stairs would be a no go for me at this point in my life. 😢

I donno..Taiwan looked a little boring to me.

Those foods are unrecognizable for me too I go there tomorrow should be interesting
Great vid Gabe, only ever been to the airport, absolutely want to visit Taiwan.
Did you go to Jiufen, Taiwan? It's a pretty easy trek from Taipei. It's an amazing little town on the cliffside of a mountain. It was the inspiration for Spirited Away.
Gab, nice video. I hoped you ran into fans here in Taiwan.
Mine too
I went to Jiufen on a rainy Thursday morning … in the off season … and it was also very crowded; it is what it is!
ah man was looking forward to the Japan trip…
Gabriel salmon fights the current as he swims upstream. The obstacles are many as he persists. Oh no, Gabriel salmon gives up and heads back the other way looking for a short-cut to the falls…😁
