Exclusive: Kandi Burruss Talks Leaving RHOA, FOMO, New Shows, and Thoughts on THAT Return

In a candid and exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kandi Burruss opened up about her decision to leave ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ after 14 seasons. The reality TV star revealed that she has no regrets about walking away from the show, stating that she felt no FOMO (fear of missing out) when the cameras went up on the mostly new cast for season 16.

During the interview, Kandi also discussed her role in Shamea Morton finally snagging a peach on the show and how ‘RHOA’ is affecting Shamea’s friendship with Porsha Williams. She weighed in on the drama between Porsha and Drew Sidora over Drew working with Porsha’s ex, Dennis McKinley, on music. Kandi also addressed the return of Phaedra Parks, with whom she famously fell out over nasty rumors Phaedra allegedly spread about her.

Kandi jumped to Kenya Moore’s defense, after the former Miss USA was ousted from the show mid-filming. She shared updates on her other projects, including new TV ventures, and explained why she’s not doing another show with her band, XSCAPE. Additionally, Kandi discussed why she won’t be doing a second season of the series about her restaurants, ‘Kandi and the Gang.’

On a positive note, Kandi shared that she is back on Broadway as a producer for ‘Othello.’ Fans can find tickets for the show at OthelloBWay.com. It seems like Kandi Burruss is keeping busy and making moves in her career post-‘RHOA’ departure.
