They had the drone show 2-3 days ago by the river, it was big, maybe they will have that again on May 1st. I think the best place to see this fireworks is on the other side of the river, less buildings and obstacles and not much locals, so people don't know much about the hidden corners, plus the parks on the other side are wider. Another way to see the fireworks are on those hotels rooftop bars, just pick one, go up and buy a drink you don't have to fight the crowds. I've seen quite a number of videos where tourists show awesome bird eye views from those rooftop bars, they're not super tall maybe 15-17 floors, enough to capture the night view of the city.

The Vietnamese are celebrating peace and harmony and looking forward to a brighter future for their fatherland. But Western media are pouring cold water digging old wounds and with help of ethnic Vietnamese who have taken refuge in the West living under people's roof as second-class citizens. They should go back to Vietnam to help develop their motherland. I saw one video of one of this kind visiting Vietnam feeling superior because he is a banana (yellow outside white inside) , criticizing this and that. If they are Americans, they'd better be careful, Trump might deport them.
