Hawaian islands looking good but they are all the same: same landscapes, same mood, same architecture, fauna, food, culture, history etc.
In Greek islands you can find diversity and something to fit you.
Crete, for example, is not the same with Cyclades. Ikaria is totaly different form Symi. Skiathos from Hydra etc.
Ionian islands is like you are in a different country. And that's only the for islands, the shoreline of mainland Greece is even more diverse.
That's the main difference of Greece compared to other popular destinations like Hawaii, Florida (?), Caribbean, South Asia etc.: So many diversion in all aspects any visitor would interested, in such a small space.

For the weather: even during winter, you can find more days with full sunshine than in Hawaii and many other tropical islands. In Greece from April to October it will be very surprising to have more than 10 cloudy/rainy days. When you visit for 3 weeks during that season, 20 days will be 99% perfect (Aegean Blue) skies.

Hi Gabe as I'm based in the UK I spend my winter breaks from November to march in the Canary Islands Lanzarote Tenerife Fueteventurs Gran Canaria where the average temperatures is between 23 to 26c I've booked a week in January in last palmas old town gran Canaria enjoy Hawaii😂

My point of view regarding beaches as a comparison, I personally think that Kythnos alone has more beautiful beaches than all the beautiful beaches of Hawaii.With all respect and appreciation

Very interesting topic and glad to hear much more about the differences between the greek islands and the hawaiian islands, which follows up on one of your comment about the difference between swimming in the sea of the greek islands vs the hawaiian islands. 👍I have been going to the greek islands every year over the past 10 years (I try each year to discover a new island) and in Hawaii twice and despite Hawaii's exotic landscapes and its polynesian atmosphere, for me the greek island win the contest! 😀 As you say, the richness of the greek island's history, the landscapes of blue and white, the unbeatable turquoise clear waters, the beauty of its traditional villages as well as the amazing/healthy mediterranean food make the greek islands a must for me. There is just something magical to be on a greek island in the middle of the Aegean sea. And last but not least, as you pointed out, you can even surf (not at the same level as in Hawaii of course but still) on some of the greek islands, such as on the isalnd of Ikaria (Mesakti beach) or on the island of Tinos (Megali Kolymbithra beach).

There's no comparison (for me).
Whoever likes tropical places it's Hawaii hands down.
If "archeology.." , Mediterranean vibes , climate, food, music…weird diverse landscape, and "best waters" to swim then Greece has a plus…
Also infrastructure is much better in Hawaii.

Well, I live in the UK where the "ideal conditions" number in days totalling a couple of weeks scattered throughout the year so 3-4 months is just fine with me. Additionally, when you add the genuinely warm culture, the history, generally safe seas, great food and personal safety it is no contest. Although Hawaii does look like a nice exotic destination it's Greece hands down for me.

You know…. Greece is not only about summer and islands. That's the best thing about Greece. The incredible nature and mountains that you can enjoy during the winter. You can go hiking, skiing and a lot of beautiful villages and authentic people there. Greek mountains, villages and nature, are one of the best in Europe

I love both your Hawaii and Greek videos. Hawaii, especially Kauai, has the most spectacular scenery with those mountains, cliffs and beaches. Unfortunately it’s just too expensive. I think the timeshare is really working out for you. Greece has a lot of history with quaint little villages and beautiful clear water and more affordable, judging from your videos. Greece is already in the planning for next year. 🎉😊
