I’m Back in INDIA | Land of Yoga, Cows & Beeping Horns
Join me on a captivating adventure as I return to the beautiful spiritual town of Rishikesh, nestled alongside the sacred Ganges River and at the foothills of the majestic Himalayas. This city, renowned as the yoga capital of the world, has a rich historical tapestry interwoven with spiritual practices, breathtaking landscapes, and of course, a vibrant street culture filled with the familiar sounds of honking horns and lively chatter.
In this video, we delve deep into the essence of Rishikesh, exploring its famed Lakman Jhula bridge, which—despite its recent closure due to an unfortunate incident—remains a vital impressive landmark. With my own personal reflections interlaced, I share tales from my 16 visits to India, each trip more enlightening than the last.
Expect to see not just the iconic sights but also the local flavor—delightful cafés serving varied cuisines, serene yoga sessions along the river, and the gentle swaying of cows along the streets. From sipping a sweet lassie to enjoying a tranquil walk along the stunning Ganges, Rishikesh offers moments of peace amidst the spirited hustle and bustle.
In addition, I recount my spontaneous journey leading up to this point, from Bali to Rishikesh, revealing glimpses of the choices and intricacies involved in budget travel. With captivating musical scores setting the tone, this video is more than just a travel log; it’s an exploration of a place that continues to ignite my spirit.

Cry babies in the comments can't even bear one video from India. From Gabriel's playlists it seems he spent around 20 days in India since December 2023. Thats less than one month in 22 months! I saw the same cry baby behaviour in Harald Bald's comment section of his new video. It seems something happened after COVID and everyone is behaving differently.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Well, I'm happy to see India. Us 50 something ex travellers love to see the old school hang out spots. Kerala would be good to see, but I think Jan/Feb is the best time for the far south. November perfect for trekking!
Visit North East. You'll see a complete new India.
I would like you to hand the camera to one of those Monkeys 27:44 .. Let's see them create a video 🙂 Safe Travels Big Fella …..
33:45 — IMO, What would improve India most is far better cleanliness and hygiene, and adapting Western toilets Indian-wide ,rather than holes in the ground.
The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was a bit of a charlatan, wasn't he? He was a smooth talker, too, I have heard.
They really like laying on the horn. wow…
41:50 — What is that green mushy stuff?
yes..he is back..
The hot pools in India 🇮🇳 are they commonly found in India 🇮🇳 or only in the Himalayas?
Constant beeping of horns f**** annoying😂
I get the feeling that Rishikesh is very special to you. Looking forward to more adventures in India. Your videos are always interesting. 😊❤
Visit Pushkar Camel Fair It will end on 5 November, I am camping this weekend on fair ground 1,2 November reply me if you will be there during this time.
If you visit Mizoram, India then you'll be surprised because no one honks there. Shillong also is a nice place to visit if you're in that area.
Had to switch off due to the honking, absolutely ridiculous
Welcome back Gabe!🙏
Holy cow, this is a good video!
Hi Gabriel, you're back in your second most favorite place, India. There must be some locations in India you haven't visited yet and have been wanting to see. I don't remember if you've seen the Ranakpur Temple, the Amber Fort, or Varkala Beach or the many different cave sites. You would think they would build roads for motorbikes. It's too congested in Rishikesh, and people and bikes sharing the same path is a big problem, which is only getting worse with the growing popularity.
Welcome back to India 🙋
