Did you know that all of the blood in your body should only contain a single teaspoon of sugar? Our bodies tightly regulate the amount of sugar in our blood at any given time. If you have prediabetes, that number rises to 1.5 teaspoons. With diabetes, the blood contains 2 teaspoons of sugar.
The average person consumes between 50 and 100 teaspoons of sugar every day. Insulin removes the sugar from your blood and converts it to fat or stored sugar in the liver and muscles. The body only needs a tiny amount of sugar (which the liver can make on its own), so we don’t actually need to consume any sugar at all.
Chronic excessive sugar consumption can lead to the development of insulin resistance, which is at the root of many chronic diseases.
Improve blood sugar control by avoiding these common mistakes when testing your blood sugar.
1. Not washing your hands
2. Using alcohol wipes incorrectly
3. Using expired strips
4. Hot sauna or cold plunge before testing
5. Tylenol usage
6. Taking vitamin C and other supplements

I wake up with normal sugar. I go outside to have 20 minutes of sunlight and my sugar goes up dramatically 20+ points. If I don't go outside that doesn't happen.

My A1C is over 7 😶
I didn't eat sugar for 5 days then got really woozy. Took a tbsp of 100% Maple Syrup. I'm hypoglycemic, just figured it out. Was trying to do fasting. My glucose monitor showed me a reading of 60. I need to snack a tiny amount of sugar every so often. I alternate 2 pieces of Ezekiel frozen bread per with honey and 1/3 tbsp of Maple Syrup. A whole tbsp is too much. I stopped fasting, I eat between 10:30-6:30pm

For me it’s stress/ cortisol control.

After 4 months of avoiding sugar, intermittent fasting, and eating healthy, low-carb. The a1c test was unchanged. Which led me to realize that menopause (53) and difficulty with hot flashes, probably a hormonal imbalance is causing me to have prediabetes. What should I do?
My hubby type 2 after taking a statin. No nutritional info from Dr. he takes 1/2 doz drugs, eats all the stuff he did before & looks like he’s 15 years older. I eat meat, take no meds and look 15 years younger

My dad came to live with us in Mexico. His blood sugar was very high and was diabetic although not on meds or insulin at the time. Within a few months of eating correct his blood sugar is now perfect. And he also lost a lot of weight, and no more meda for blood pressure.
Since going on the intermittent fasting & OMD (did my first 48-hour fast this past weekend), I haven’t had to take any insulin. It’s wonderful 😊. I’ve lost a lot of weight, do various exercises (chair yoga, etc), & continue on.

well that's pretty wicked they're gonna wait until your diabetic and then treat you when they should be telling you hey you're getting close to being a diabetic you need to change you're eating habits and stop having so much sugar but see that proves right there they're not able to help youthey're just in it for what they can prescribe I guess terrible terrible terrible
