Who reckons that the price of these cars will be substantially cheaper! My guess is that at most they will be less than 5k cheaper at retail, bigger margins for Tesla . Plus expect the cost of insurance to sky rocket. I remember over 6 years ago they were touting that EVs will be so much cheaper to buy, hasn't turned out that way. All thats happened is that all cars have literally gone up by 40%. It's all alot of BS

They've never worked in a factory, never dealt with large-scale automation, engineering, or manufacturing, yet they're convinced they know better. They come up with unrealistic ideas about how everything should work while still living in a comfortable bubble where someone else cooks their meals, washes their clothes, and pays the bills. It's easy to criticise from the sidelines. Building companies, factories, and new technology is a very different story.

No one is asking for them. And, if they anything like nothing else, they will be cost efficient to use for a year or two, and then creep up to match and beyond owning your own car.
