Harry Styles is thanking Mexico City for the warm welcome during his residency as part of his Together, Together Tour residency at the GNP Seguros Sadium, and he’s doing it in a very sweet way. The British superstar has been paying for traditional churros for all customers at one of the branches of Churrería El Moro in the trendy Condesa neighborhood since Sunday (Aug. 9) and through Monday (Aug. 10).
“Thanks to Together, Together, the churros are on us,” the official Instagram account of Churrería El Moro posted Sunday in an Instagram story. “This Sunday and Monday, stop by El Moro Condesa and enjoy churros courtesy of Together, Together.”
Reactions to the gesture from the “Adore You” and “As It Was” singer flooded social media. Videos showed hundreds of pictures of churro orders and receipts with Harry Styles’ name and Together, Together printed on them. Videos and photos also showed long lines of people waiting to enter the store for the sweet treat.
“We went to get the churros that Harry Styles is giving away,” wrote X user @sgtrevolver, along with an image of their churro order and receipt.
This isn’t the first time Styles has shown generosity to local fans to thank them for the warm reception of his Together, Together tour. In Amsterdam, where the trek began in May, the singer treated them to free drinks at a café; in London, he gave away flowers; and in Brazil, he handed out Bonfim ribbons, traditional lucky bracelets originating from Salvador de Bahia.
Styles will conclude his Mexico City residency on Monday night (Aug. 10). The series of shows in the Latin American country, which began on July 31 and continued on Aug. 1, 4, 7 and 8, was marked by his displays of affection for fans, including phrases in Spanish and a Mexican-style “sonidero” sample interlude in “Italian Girls,” featuring the chorus “¡Viva México! I love you with all my heart” in a moment that has gone viral on social media.
