“If you have a choice, please don’t travel to the United States. Choose another place for your tourism. If you can choose a Canadian product instead of an American one, please choose it,” Eby emphasized, reflecting a growing sentiment among Canadian leaders to bolster national pride and economic resilience in the face of external pressures.
In his statements, Eby expressed support for the federal government’s newly unveiled counter-tariffs aimed at safeguarding Canadian workers and businesses.
