New month, new music. As Labor Day weekend kicks into gear and helps usher in the rest of September, artists such as BLACKPINK members LISA and JISOO, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé and more are treating fans to fresh tracks.
Two bandmates from K-pop’s biggest girl group both dropped solo songs this week, with LISA unveiling “SaWaDiKa” — the first taste BLINKs are getting of her upcoming EP, Press Play — on Thursday (Sept. 3), while JISOO premiered “Click” Friday (Sept. 4). Both follow an exciting BLACKPINK reunion over the course of the past year, which saw the quartet embarking on a global stadium tour and releasing its Deadline EP before continuing to explore solo passions.
Also kicking off a new era is Miley, minus the Cyrus. After teasing the project for about a week and debuting her mononymous name change, the pop star released “Bass Persuades,” the title track from her next album, which is due out Sept. 18. Meanwhile, Queen Bey is paying tribute to an older era of her career, releasing previously unheard bonus track “Can I Watch You” featuring Pharrell in honor of the 20th anniversary of her iconic B’Day album.
Plus, Adéla is out with her debut album, Prima, while everyone from Medium Build to Ellie Goulding, Mau P, Amelie Lens, Malie Donn and Johnny Venus have new songs and projects to share with listeners. But which of them is your favorite? Billboard wants to know.
