If You Think Cappadocia is a Tourist Trap, You’re Wrong
Cappadocia, the mesmerizing region in central Turkey, is often reduced to a mere hot air balloon ride and dining experiences, leading many to dismiss it as just another tourist trap. Amazing place mate! Great videos! Abraço from Portugal 🇵🇹
Damn… that’s the biggest piece of cheese cake I’ve seen! Hope they got some good coffee
I know you take a few weeks break now and again. But your drive to frequent uploads is truly impressive. Thanks Gabriel 🤙
Fascinating. I never knew about this area. Such a strange place.
Will you be waking up early for a hot air balloon flight video?
How were these Chimneys formed
It's a remarkable and interesting place. The ATV tour looked like a lot of fun! 😎👍
Sad to see that the ancient churches are allowed to be used as dumps and bathrooms by the turks and their animals
go see derinkuyu
I live in the USA but I watch Turkish series. Some of the series I have seen were filmed in Cappadocia. The homes there are interesting too. I would absolutely love to see it in person.😂
I know you dont want to go back, but UAE and Oman was really interesting fantastic vids..
I learned about Turkey in church in Primary Class in Sunday School. Paul traveled there and worked with the different churches there. Then in World History. I was so interested by the fact that part of Turkey is in Europe and part in Asia. Istanbul, the capital, is in Europe and in Asia. I have always been interested in Turkey and in Turkish culture. They raise tea and are the biggest tea drinkers. Their food looks delicious. I live in the USA but I think I could live in Turkey very easily.
Scratching out the eyes "of the Infidel" was the quickest way a Muslim invader could defy the power of any Christian image and gain that place for the worship of Allah.
Images of humans and animals were forbidden in Holy Islamic art.
The Turkish Army desecrated any chapel they could find during the 1974 invasion of Cyprus.
I witnessed this sad and shameful act, whenever I looked into any small Greek holy place as we travelled around the North of the island.
I love Kapadokya but the underground cities I can’t revisit. Major claustrophobic vibes for me 😵
I enjoy your vids Gabriel but when you talk about these historical events, you must be accurate. So Alexander the great " went" to all these places but the Ottomans " invaded" ha?! do you know the atrocities that Alexander the great committed in all of these places he " went" to?!
🇨🇦❤🍁👍🇹🇷Cappadocia Turkiye is Amazing so much History🇹🇷Thanks Gabriel👍
Hi Gabriel, as much as you have seen Cappadocia, you still get excited to see it again. It is a remarkable religious site and a place where people lived in harsh conditions and survived persecution. It has survived today through wars, earthquakes, and thousands of years of empires of conquest and destruction, while continuing to weather all the storms; it is a testament to the landscape's strength and resilience over time.
Very good ! Gabe. From Craig. UK:)
The hot air balloons look magical ❤
I see why you return again and again.
❤
Incredible seeing all this through your fascinating videos.
Cooler weather nice – enjoy bro! 🎉
Nasty weather in Istanbul. Be wary.
Just amazing!!! ✌💙😎
Gabriel, Glad you’re not in Istanbul because torrential rains have caused massive flooding October 14 & 15. So sad.
BTW, my hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia was a phenomenal experience. From arriving at the launch site and watching the balloons being inflated at sunrise, to climbing in the basket and watching the earth fall away as our masterful balloon navigator took us up to high and then higher elevations so what we saw changed from fairy chimneys and other hot air ballons to topography that looked like lines on the ground showing a geological map below us. And, at the end of this wondrous time aloft our balloon navigator smoothly landed the basket on a flat back trailer with all 20 of us in it. Too cool! We toasted the experience and the morning with delicious dark purple (perhaps pomegranate) juice the tour provided. I have to say it’s the first and only time I actually was glad I had gotten up at 4am. 😎
Im so spoilt, this is not blowing me away. I'm pissed because I'll be in Turkey in march.
WOW cool video Gabe… Throughout the entire video when you were entering caves or into dark places I was expecting something to pop out like a scary ghost or some animal lol.. That Quad/ATV tour would be awesome to do, save you from all that walking. Stay Safe and happy Travels big fella.. 🙂
hello gabe,do you have any plan in the future to travel to south America again ,u havent been there since u l Colombia
wonderful vid' Gabriel …..thankya for sharin …👌🏽💯
Why do you think all the pigeons shit in their nest, well maybe the young. Anyhows, that theory is a bit controversial and easygoing due to lack of better eplanations.
Dovecote is the whole "building" nest boxes are the individual nest sites. They have been used over Europe and further at least since Roman times. There's one near me in England dating to the 17th century with 2,300 nesting boxes, which must have been an investment at the time. They did harvest the squabs for food.
