The high-priced world of beauty | DW Documentary
Can beauty be bought? We pull back the curtain on the high-priced world of exclusive beauty services — including celebrity hairstylist Hatice Nizam and cosmetic surgeon Tamarica Fischer-Nagel.
The film follows two successful women entrepreneurs working in Germany’s beauty industry, giving insights into their professional lives.
In Frankfurt, Hatice Nizam runs two exclusive hair salons under the name “HaarWerk,” serving clients from all over the world. She’s spent three decades in the industry and has long been a star on social media, where she’s known as the “Queen of Blonde Shades.”
Dr. Tamarica Fischer-Nagel is a cosmetic surgeon. Together with her partner, Dr. Patrice Moubayed, she runs practices in Bad Wildungen and Kassel in central Germany. Many of her patients are willing to go to great lengths for the sake of their appearance — Botox injections are part of her daily routine.

Editors you better get on the unblurred image in one of the ending scenes
I do like a good haircut but it doesn’t’t have to be expensive. My hairdresser is very good and she charges very reasonably.
This is a documentary? It feels more like a commercial. Ugh, it's so superficial and short-sighted.
These scam salons are every where . Keep your money ladies , the upkeep of bleaching your hair blond is terribly expensive and ruins your hair . The owner is telling you what she thinks you’ll want to hear to get your money and lots of it that’s all she’s interested in .Remember oral health and going to the dentist is important rotten teeth is aging .The wedding dress models have totally ruined they’re hair ,what a shame
The problem with the hair makeovers is that the original individual texture of the hair is erased and everyone seems to get the same texture and shape determined by the dye process and blow-out process. Regarding the blonde dye with dark roots, it just looks like trying too hard to be something which is not authentic.
Yes but class cannot!
I would change the cut, not the color in all that women
Vinicius Junior 😭
I didn't like any of the makeovers at the hairdressers. They had all a blueish/grey shade in their blond, noone looked really good. Sorry.
Correction – Artificially Blonde (bleached) hair is NOT the gold standard for beaty in women. Natural hair colour actually looks more beautiful on most women.
Do not follow these lies.
I only wish I had the extra money to get the stuff I want.
Too late now. My haircut money is gone to nonsense and lies. Robbed when I needed help the most.
Go pamper them barbies Adrian. Keep on paying. You ripped me off of three long agonizing years and that affects me bad. I’ll never get over the things I planned and ultimately missed out on. Thanks for listening when it mattered the most.
The plastic dr's hair looked terrible after the cut.
You can buy the illusion of beauty. Beauty, or the lack thereof, is a perpetual insecurity for some unfortunate people.
song name at very starting ?
The amount of pollution, environmental waste and damage, wasted time and effort…
It's shameful
No beauties here😮. Short bleached hair makes her look older
Beauty is pain , I recall my cousin told me..
I definitely beautiful it now
The industry is exploitative of peoples insecurities.
