In a gripping teaser that promises to send chills down spines, Crossed thrusts audiences into a post-apocalyptic world plagued by a terrifying disease. The film, adapted from Garth Ennis’s notorious graphic novel, invites viewers to witness the harrowing journey of Stan and Cindy, leaders of a ragtag group desperate to escape the horrors that lie to the south.
As they make their way north, the group faces relentless pursuit by the “Crossed”—infected individuals marked by a grotesque cross on their foreheads. Unlike the typical mindless zombies of traditional horror lore, these creatures embody a terrifying blend of primal instincts and vicious malice, driven to fulfill their worst urges. This marks a chilling exploration of humanity’s darker side as the protagonists navigate not only the external threats but also their internal struggles and moral dilemmas.
The world of Crossed promises to unsettle viewers through an atmosphere thick with tension and dread, beautifully combined with Ennis’s signature style of storytelling. As Stan and Cindy confront numerous hazards, including dwindling resources and the growing burden of group dynamics, the film cleverly blends horror with the raw emotion of survival and leadership.
With its potent premise and a team led by visionary talents and seasoned storytellers, Crossed is set to redefine the horror genre when it hits theaters in 2026. As the audience anticipates this visceral experience, one thing is clear: the journey through this nightmarish landscape of madness and human frailty will leave a lasting impression.
