As the UK general election approaches, party leaders have been out and about campaigning and making promises to voters. Labour leader Keir Starmer and businessman Theo Paphitis visited a jewellery shop in Hampshire to promote the party’s plan for small businesses. Meanwhile, PM Rishi Sunak visited a farm in Devon, where he promised to deliver for farmers.
Lib Dem leader Ed Davey attended a garden party in Hampshire to advocate for more water inspections to prevent companies from dumping sewage into rivers and the sea. SNP leader John Swinney also made his voice heard, urging Labour to abolish the two-child benefit cap during a campaign visit to Oban.
