One People, One Culture makes the best Country.
Can't wait to see you in Slovakia! I'm actually in the process of getting my Slovak citizenship.
gorgeous I really want to visit there!
Zakopane is a worst place to eat in pl
Dziękuję (thank you) is pronounced like this: Jeng-KOO-yay
Polish people are known for their reserve (they are serious and matter of fact), their short-temperedness, and they are also not the warmest upon first meeting, as a rule but there are exceptions of course. Hospitality, especially towards strangers, is not their strong suit.
And, you do not see warmth and hospitality in milk bars, cafes and other eateries as well.
Seriousness is the order of the day.
Think of it as being just no-nonsense.
I can be reserved myself in person so, I am not as bothered by such as other Americans report to me that they are.
What a picturesque region.
BTW for navigating difficult languages, Google has a translation app you can download to your phone where you can take a picture of text with it and it will automatically detect and translate the language for you into English. Might be handy for reading menu's, signs, fare machines, etc…
Can't wait to see Slovakia which is a really beautiful country.
I remember you discussing visiting here with Harald in your video from Thailand, glad you have finally made it. Looks amazing. 👍
its a wooly moomoth.
Gabriel, Poles love being out in nature. They love the woods, walking in the woods and … MUSHROOMS. I have yet to meet a Pole who loathes fungi. Oh, and being outdoors in Winter is not objectionable to them either.
"Communication breakdown, its always the same" hope all is well and enjoying the Polish adventure , it looks amazing❤❤❤
? The scrambled eggs. could they have been egg dumplings? Like German spatzle' but eggier?
Some food can be confusing and hard to translate. You got one english word dumplings, but here its like 3 very different meals with many variations of each one.
In Slovakia dumplings are knedle, pirohy and halušky (google it, you will see it looks very different).
Knedle are mostly side dish, made from soft, bread like dough. But it can be served also as main dish, torn to smaller pieces, wrapped with egg and fried.
Pirohy are main dish, more like italian ravioli. Just bigger and with other fillings.
Halušky are served as both side and main. You should definitively try bryndzové halušky if you visit Slovakia.
20:00 if you buy alcohol in self checkout worker needs to manually confirm that you are 18yo, next time just pay at regular checkout
Good choice. I would love to visit this area.
What a boring looking place, nothing looks interesting.
If you really want a nice hike and beautiful views, go to Morskie oko and take the path that goes via the lakes. It's a bit of a hike but worth it. Happy travels 🌞
Beautiful scenic country. Thanks Gabe for bringing these videos to us.
nice food at the end, I would also want a beer, a bit of meat, carbs and loads of vegetables (and even a salad extra) and very nice you got a shot of vodka too!
I took a close look of the photo of the dumplings in your video. They are indeed dumplings. You will see them more in Slovakia. They are Halusky, similar to German Spaetzle. If served plain, they will taste like scrambled eggs. In Slovakia you will find them in a creamy cheese sauce.
OMG That music accompanying the sped-up walking around 39:00 was hilarious 😂
Very interested in NE Europe since some of my ancestors were from E. Prussia. What a landscape!
Polish food is awful.
Gabriel, do not miss BIESZCZADY, google it up.
Slovakia would be great! still recommend Wroclaw, actually I think my grandma still lives there! the town square is the largest I believe in all of europe. (could be wrong, but one of the largest)
Poland is beautiful and affordable
that is a big cow. saludos
do not come to Poland. we do not need tourists or even worse – immigrants
very elegant place, I like. saludos
Wow, I've been to Krakow. But never Zakopane or Tatra mountains. Looks like a beautiful area. Hope those shoes hold out for a few hikes, Gabriel👍👍🙏🙏
They are simple dumplings egg is jajko
I'm getting "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" vibes!!! 🤣
Superglued 😂 I can relate during my travels
Zakopane sure looks like a great place for an adventure. So quaint. Beautiful hike up the mountain. Can definitely relate to supermarket communication breakdowns when travelling! Great video, thank you! Cheers! 🍺
26:03 Why did you leave the tourist trail? It's absolutely disrespectful. Do you think that because you're a YouTuber you're immediately allowed to do this? Don't come back to Poland, you're not welcome here!
I don't know much about Poland but this city looks wonderful. Big clean wide streets and lots of trees.
Thank you for this interesting walk! The hike is intensive. As an Bulgarian, I agree that there is similiarity between Bansko and Zakopane. Furthermore, the path you go along resembles to a path in the Vitosha Mountain that is visible to the sout of the capital Sofia .
LOL you Ate Polish Dumplings – "Kluski Kładzione" is the name, Soft Egg layered Dumplings, so you did order the Egg Dumplings *Also make sure and Visit the Hotsprings Named – Chocholowskie Termy and Terma Bania *lol you also bought a plastic bag "plastikowa torba" every purchase makes you buy a plastic bag at some grocery stores(or the machine wont process unless you confirm a bag purchase) next time Use Google Translate the photo Feature and it will photo translate the screen of the machine. so your card won't process and you are stealing groceries, because you chose the wrong word. LOL
