2026 Tesla Model 2: A Game-Changer at $15,990
Get ready for the revolutionary launch of the 2026 Tesla Model 2, set to hit the market in October at an astonishing price of $15,990! With this daring move, Elon Musk aims to shake up the electric vehicle landscape, putting pressure on competitors like BYD, which has already introduced models as low as $9,000.
As competition heats up, the launch of Tesla’s budget-friendly model comes at a critical time. With BYD’s revenue surpassing Tesla’s, the stakes have never been higher. The Model 2 RWD Base Version aims to provide an accessible alternative for consumers who have been left out of the luxury EV market.
However, there’s more to this story than meets the eye. To reach this enticing price point, Tesla had to implement significant changes that may compromise some aspects of the brand’s renowned luxury. While the Model 2 could attract a wider audience, it also raises fundamental questions about trade-offs and quality.
Elon Musk has teased the Model 2 as being produced on the world’s most advanced production line, boasting high manufacturing volume and groundbreaking technologies. This innovation could redefine expectations for affordable vehicles.
The anticipation surrounding the biggest pre-order ever is palpable, with many eagerly awaiting its debut during Tesla’s Annual Shareholder Meeting in November. Join us as we explore what’s beneath the surface of the Model 2—what features it offers, what may be lacking, and if it truly strikes a balance between quality and affordability.
Stay tuned to dive deeper into the world of Tesla and catch all the exciting developments surrounding this groundbreaking launch!

I'll Buy An AWD With Whatever Options They Can Supply !!!
It'll probably be a pretty decent grocery-getter.
$15,900 may be a deal breaker for me as a retired person. I was ready to order the Model2 at $11,000. The stripped down aspect does not bother me
other countries will impose high tariffs on USA cars as retaliation for Trump high tariffs on their cars. can T2 succeed with only USA sales?
ps. metals from Canada will cost more. low price of car may be a dream.
I've long wanted a smaller, lighter Tesla, one with fewer bells and whistles (fewer things to go wrong), smaller, lighter battery pack (I seldom drive far) and a low price. The simpler, the better; I don't need or want a powered trunk lid or ventilated seats.
I like model 2
Tesla model 2 could become the Volkswagen Beetle that Americans bought in the 60s 70s
I would buy a model 2 and just drive around town and short trips and going to work.
If the launch and price point are accurate, this could be a major step toward making EVs more accessible to a wider market. It’ll be interesting to see how the production and delivery timelines play out.
Tesla will again not sell at that price
why are folks panicking over falling EV sales? Tesla is moving to a robotaxi, semitruck & energy model with Optimus bots following closely behind then becoming the highest volume product.
No Tesla Model 2. This is total BS.
Tesla are heading to the unboxed process and they can't use a full under body giga casting with this process
Meanwhile toyota has a solid state battery car @ $18,000 & 620 mile range.
Hi Elon 👍🇫🇮🌲 Forest man 🌲🇫🇮👍🎉
Welcome Finland and Europe 👍🇫🇮🌲🇫🇮👍
Won’t be interested in a Tesla until they get longer range and the aluminum battery for faster charging
All of the items you listed that may be removed on the model 2, sound like a bunch of unnecessary luxury junk. I think Tesla may have a problem reading their potential customers.
They’d charge more than that for a battery pack.
How about an affordable small truck or are they willing to let others beat them to the market?
YEAH; OKAY, THAT'S GREAT!! BUT, I'M STILL WAITING TO SEE THE $39,999.99 CYBERTRUCK, AND I HAVE A $100.00 DEPOSIT DOWN ON A SUB $25,000.00 APTERA, AND THAT'S ALMOST 4 YEARS AFTER I PAID, AND THEY ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A "WHITE KNIGHT" INVESTOR TO GET PRODUCTION RUNNING; GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!! MAYBE THE CHEAPEST CAR SOLD IN THE USA THE MITSUBISHI MIRAGE, I THINK, WITH A 3 CYLINDER ENGINE, LISTS FOR UNDER $20K, BUT I BET THEY LOSE MONEY, OR JUST BRAKE EVEN ON EVERY ONE THEY SELL, SO LETS HOPE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT; AND YOU'LL APOLOGIZE IF YOUR PROVED WRONG!!
A basic car should include all functions and materials of a dependable and comfortable car (think 1960''s VW Beetle). For those that want more range, comfort and/or amenities options should be available at separate costs. Make these add-ons individually priced and NOT bundled into upgrade packages for excessive prices and including add-ons you do not actually want….otherwise leave them to the third-party providers. Keep your mood lighting and panoramic glass roofs. Ideally, my preferred EV would be FWD with a range approaching 500 miles and vinyl/cloth seats plus NO sound system….but wired for 4 speakers if desired later. The longer mileage is not just for traveling convenience but for average buyer convenience when 'home' charging is not a practical option (think apartments and condo's with common parking areas). Being able to recharge once-a-week at a 'pay' charger for up to 500 miles would be a real benefit. Production cost reduction and lower quality construction should be mutually exclusive. A cheaper Tesla does not have to be junk.
I prefer BYD. This is not against Nazi or anything. It is just cheaper and better.
BYD 125% tariff
Elderly who have the money require easy and higher entrance plus increase range.
What most people want is a cheap pickup truck
nice
Model 2 with dual motor and larger batterycapasity would be perfect. Need more detailed info on options on this to be able to preorder👌
🇮🇳🙏

The biggest lesson I learned in 2024 about the stock market is that nobody knows what will happen next, so practice some humility and low a strategy with a long-term edge.
Don't believe it until see it
the saving cost stated are utter B S
never buy something from a fascist, never ever
I texted Tesla and Sarasota Florida. They said that they don’t have a Tesla series 2.
Is this still reality, I know you've been talking about this the last 3 months.
If I get one, it has to have a range over 350 miles. solar augmented would be a big plus.

Let’s go Elon . Would to love to own this amazing machine . One charge will last me for a week to go to work .
I m ready to buy today or as soon as they open sales for model 2 .
Im driving a 2002 F250 7.3……… When the radio plays I can roll down the windows. Then I lost all my fredgerant no air… its been 90 deg n 85 % humidity. my radio never plays.. winter time it works great…
