We start our day with a visit to the Essenza Cafe, where we indulge in medialunas and dulce de leche lattes to fuel up for a day of wine tasting. Our first stop is Bressia, a family-owned vineyard known for its unique blends and soulful wines. We were pleasantly surprised to try a Pinot Noir Rosé and a white blend called Lágrima Canela, both of which were unlike anything we had tasted before.
Next, we head to Alta Vista, another hidden gem of a vineyard that offers tours showcasing the variety of grapes grown in Mendoza’s unique microclimates. We were blown away by their Torrontes, a white wine that captures the essence of Mendoza’s high altitude vineyards.
To top off our day, we enjoy a mouthwatering steak at Bodegas Lopez and soak in the beauty of Mendoza’s tree-lined streets and stunning views of the Andes mountains. We end the evening with a hearty meal at Patio de Jesus Maria, where we indulge in a pear soaked in Malbec and even try the local delicacy of blood sausage.
