In war-torn Gaza, humanitarian workers are facing an unimaginable challenge every day as they work tirelessly to aid civilians in distress. Arwa Damon, former CNN Senior International Correspondent and founder of the International Network for Aid, Relief, and Assistance (INARA), sheds light on the harrowing plight of both civilians and aid workers in the midst of death and destruction.
Being on the front lines in Gaza is like playing Russian roulette, with danger lurking around every corner. The constant threat of violence and the ever-present risk of becoming a target make the work of humanitarian workers in the region incredibly dangerous. Despite the risks, these brave individuals continue to provide crucial assistance to those in need, risking their own lives to provide food, shelter, and medical care to the most vulnerable.
The civilians in Gaza are caught in the crossfire of a conflict that has torn their lives apart, leaving them with little hope for the future. Humanitarian workers are their lifeline, offering a glimmer of hope in the midst of chaos and destruction. Their work is not only vital for saving lives, but it is also a beacon of humanity in a place where compassion seems scarce.
Arwa Damon’s work with INARA highlights the resilience and dedication of those who are committed to making a difference in the face of adversity. As the world watches the tragedy unfold in Gaza, it is important to remember the selfless individuals who risk it all to help those in need. Their courage and compassion serve as a reminder of the power of humanitarian aid in the midst of conflict and despair.

'humanitarian workers' stayed silent if not praised for years the Hamas' strategy of human shields including their tacit approval of hospitals uses as shelters for combatants. They look the other way instead of denouncing the collusion between medical staff and combatants. Maybe Gaza wouldn't be what it is today had the 'humanitarian workers' been honest from the beginning.
It's a war zone so there are no guarantees. Hamas sacrificed Gaza. Hamas captured Gaza and its people. Hamas can always surrender. Not one agency is advising Hamas to surrender.
