At the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, rising star Benson Boone stunned on the red carpet as he chatted with ET’s Kevin Frazier. The ‘Beautiful Things’ singer, who is nominated for Best New Artist, opened up about his journey to success, admitting that it “doesn’t quite feel real” to him.
Benson reflected on his time on ‘American Idol,’ revealing that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to pursue a career in music at the time. However, now he is grateful for the opportunity and would be honored to be among the group of contestants who have gone on to achieve big careers after the show.
With the GRAMMYs being one of the biggest nights in the music industry, Benson’s nomination for Best New Artist solidifies his place as a talent to watch. Fans can tune in to CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, Feb. 2 to see if Benson takes home the prestigious award.
As Benson continues to make waves in the music industry, his humility and dedication to his craft are evident in every performance. With a bright future ahead of him, it’s clear that this is only the beginning for the talented artist.

It would have been beneficial if the interviewer had understood that Benson quit American Idol early in the competition to avoid being considered an Idol contestant who succeeded, like Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson.
