Thanks for sharing such a personal walk with us. I did a similar walk with my mom and cousin in the early 2000's around Sham Shiu Po. I wish I could've recorded our walk. I hope you cherish your mom's memories of her roots.
Action Mom the best! This was very emotional for me. I hope your mom can find friends and family for reunion. The library may have photos and information on your mother’s neighborhood. It is refreshing and inspiring to see mother and son having interactions.
Very wholesome. We Love "ActionMOM"

🎉 oh so nice that you are together and sharing your childhood.Cherich those moments w your family and Dad is very beautiful 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a deeply moving and beautiful moment — to have your mother by your side, walking the streets of her childhood, where memories gently rise with every step. To stand where her home once stood, now transformed into a peaceful park, is more than a return to a place — it’s a return to a feeling, a time, a life once lived. That park, blooming where a family once grew, holds her stories in its quiet soil and gentle breeze. It’s a living tribute — not only to the past that shaped her, but to the love that connects generations through shared memory. Thank you for letting us witness such a tender reunion — it warms the heart in ways words can barely hold.
My blessings are with you and your family.
Joe
How nice to meet your mom. Wonderful seeing her childhood home and hearing about your family’s history. She was very lucky to accompany you on this trip!
It's so nice to have your mom join you on this walk and to hear about her childhood, history, and all the changes in the area. I enjoyed hearing about her experiences, and it really helps put things into perspective to appreciate what we have today. 🙏 It was also cool to hear her name some of the places in Cantonese. 😃 Thank you to your mom and AK for this wonderful tour! 🤗
I love hearing from your parents ActionKid. Your mom sounds like she might be close to my age. I graduated from high school in 1977.
Awesome Hong Kong walk, thank you Actionkid!
A realy fascinating city. Regards from Zurich
Beautiful experience to go there with your dear Mother❤
😍
❤ Hi AKs mom. Nice to hear you. Thank you 🎉for sharing. Take care, peace out. 😊
I'm waiting for 10 to 20 more of videos with your mom like this, I want to hear more of the history of each place in Hong Kong. She didn't go far from her place but I'm sure her parents took her and the siblings to some special areas on certain occasions of the year. Awesome tour, thank you so much. More!
Wish that your Mom was not camera shy. Liked her voice though. It is so much fun when you have your Dad and now
your Mom in your videos
Kinda reminds of Guangzhou. I was there for like two years. The hospital I was born at went bust and currently was remodeled into some type of office. The apartment building I was raised in disappeared into a dust cloud thanks to progress. It’s currently a high rise apartment building. Actually I don’t recognize anything from the two years I was there as it was all buried pretty much. Though I was really young. Honestly I want to sue the doctor that screwed me by sticking me with a needle when I was a baby, he basically turned my life into a spiral of doctor visits and hospital stays. Unfortunately he died and I can’t as it happened too long ago, the statute of limitations ran out.
nice tour of neighbourhood its beautiful area, thank you AK’s mom for sharing your story with us 🤗
Hi Kenny, my family lived about 10 minutes away from where your mom lived. We left HK in 1977, and have been living in Brooklyn. Love your HK videos!
Great video. Really enjoyed your mom's commentary.
ActionMom is as wonderful as ActionDad.
What a pleasure to listen to your mom's stories. What an extraordinary experience for you to share her memories. Thanks for taking us along. The park where her home used to be is very interesting in its historical significance.
I was in Hong Kong in 1956/57 when the Double Ten Riots started in Lei Cheng Uk, and spread throughout the Colony. At the time I was with the military based in Tsim Sha Tsui but often passed near your Moms estate as we travelled on the Tai Po Road. I knew some resettlement estates like those your Mom lived in but in the Shek Kip Mei and Tai Hang areas. ….https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lei_Cheng_Uk_Estate

Interesting to meet your Ma. The end part is not so enjoyable as I am a vegetarian and seeing suffering fish and sea life seems awful to me. On the subject of your Mother, I would have lieked to have understood how she became able to get to the USA.

Your mom has most pleasant voice. She should do voice work for cartoons. "Hey, Kenny." 🤣
What a lovely video. We’ve enjoyed ActionKid, ActionDad and now ActionMom to complete the ActionFamily ❤ I can’t think of a better way to tour such an important area than through the eyes of your mom. Hearing your mom describe the past and drastic changes, really informed what we were looking at in the present. Thank you 🙏✨
