FULL EPISODE: Cutthroat Kitchen: Knives Out ๐ช | SERIES PREMIERE
In the thrilling series premiere of "Cutthroat Kitchen: Knives Out," culinary chaos takes to the skies! Hosted by the charismatic Brian Malarkey, this episode brings the intense competition of fine dining directly onto an airplane, where chefs must adapt to unconventional conditions to create an in-flight dining experience that won’t disappoint.
Concept Overview
Imagine being aboard an aircraft where first-class meals are mysteriously absent. With only 30 minutes on the clock, our talented chefs are charged with the task of preparing delicious in-flight dinners using limited raw proteins and produce sourced from the food court. This is not your typical cooking challengeโthese chefs must also tap into their resourcefulness by scavenging ingredients from the planeโs bar and snack carts.
The Challenge
To heighten the stakes, contestants are restricted to using only plastic utensils for all preparation, and their heat sources consist of coffee pots and two shared convection ovens. Itโs a true test of ingenuity and speed as the chefs rush to create mouth-watering dishes in a cramped space and under immense pressure.
Ingredients
While the exact recipes can vary in this unique setting, hereโs a rundown of typical ingredients the chefs might consider:
- Proteins: Chicken breasts, shrimp, or tofu
- Produce: Mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, or cucumbers
- Grains: Pre-cooked rice or quinoa
- Condiments: Soy sauce, sriracha, or pre-packaged salad dressings
- Snacks: Nuts, cheese, or chips from the snack carts
Cooking Instructions
-
Plan Your Dish: With only 30 minutes, the first step is to quickly sketch out a meal plan that utilizes the available ingredients while keeping time constraints in mind.
-
Gather Ingredients: Scour the food court for vegetables and proteins. Donโt forget to check the bar and snack carts for additional flavor boosters!
-
Prep with Care: Using plastic utensils, chop your vegetables and protein. Keep it efficient to maximize your cooking time.
-
Cook Smart: Utilize the coffee pots for quick cooking methods, like boiling or steaming, and divide tasks between the two convection ovens for optimal use.
-
Plating: Presentation is key, even in a high-pressure environment. Use whatever components youโve gathered to create a visually appealing dish.
- Final Touch: Add any condiments or garnishes from the snack carts to elevate the flavor profile of your dish.
Notes
-
Creative Solutions: Expect sabotage and improvisation as part of the gameplay. Be ready to pivot your dish if ingredients become contested.
- Teamwork and Strategy: While cooking solo, strategize your use of shared equipment with fellow competitors as each moment counts.
Conclusion
"Cutthroat Kitchen: Knives Out" is a fierce culinary battle where the stakes are high and resourcefulness reigns supreme. Tune in to witness the creativity, rivalry, and culinary skill of top chefs as they navigate this unique cooking challenge. Who will whip up an in-flight meal worthy of first-class? Alton Brown>>>>>>>>>>Brian Malarchy
Its good but i miss Alton Brown he was so fun to watch
Could've picked a better host
Tired of cooking competitions, want cooking shows that with recipes, I won't be watching
Brian Malarchy is okay, comes off as a Temu version of Alton Brown. he should just be himself and not try to mimic Alton
Qunenten needs needs some justice, I loved that
Altonโฆwhere are youuuu?
This show isn't the same without Alton Brown.
No Alton, no interest.
Brian forgot that when he judged Quentin on Chopped, he successfully used a blowtorch on red meat. Plus I would bid on the knives in round 1
That judge was rude
Was supposed to be Greek the guy that won food furthest from it
Be yourself, sir.
I love brian here
Discount Alton isnโt the vibe
No one can match Alton but I'm glad the show is back
Now thats better moneyโคnit supid money like the other competitions
Here are my thoughts:
1. Alton Brown > Brian Malarchy, but I donโt hate Malarchy.
2. Not a fan of the 1st round all punished with the same punishment and then bid on advantages. Miss the punishments throughout. But thatโs just me. My fiancรฉ likes the changes. I could warm to this one to be honest. Maybe if it was an actual dish to cook and not โ1st Class Airline Foodโ I could get behind the 1st round better.
3. Really need the zany constructions to come back as punishments. Those were some of the best parts of OG Cutthroat Kitchen, the craftsmanship and evil ingenuity. Show feels very S1 Cutthroat, which in my opinion is the weakest season, before Alton went crazy with the punishments.
4. Really miss the real โfakeโ tv show cash and having actual money seen, really hating that digital screen. It looks so bad.
5. Where is Round 3? It really changes the dynamic of the game in a way I donโt like and want more from this show.
I do have some positives:
1. While I will always miss Alton Brown, I do think Malarchy has some good moments that are very Alton like. He needs more seasoning, but he has potential.
2. I really like the judging with the contestants locked away in a separate room. That was a smart choice.
3. I also like the $1000 bonus for winning a round. Gives the winners something to fight for besides not being eliminated.
Overall, the show has potential, but there are changes to be more like its original that should come back to help the show.
Why would you use a blow touch and not the grill????
The show just isn't the same without Alton Brown. Why Food Network?!!!
Why have been the two host of this the most arrogant, ego centric entitled boysโฆjust saying. IMO Brian is do far over the top itโs ridiculous.
Excellent. He deserved to win.
Couldnโt even finish this segment. So much drama, not a single true word spoken by anyone. Embassing for Brain and good network. This was some sleezy dime reality show that just wants to engage us with such petty rivalry.
