Hezbollah sources have confirmed to Al Jazeera that they have launched over 200 rockets and explosive drones from southern Lebanon towards Israeli military positions. The attacks come in retaliation for the killing of a senior Hezbollah Commander in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, where a vehicle was targeted in the city of Tyre. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has stated that Israel is striking targets in southern Lebanon in response to the rocket attacks.
