As conflicts continue to escalate in the Middle East and Europe, the battlefield is evolving with the rapid advancement of drone technology. Originally developed for reconnaissance and surveillance purposes, drones are increasingly becoming a key weapon in modern warfare, with the ability to carry out precise and lethal attacks with ease.
In a recent episode of BBC News’ Security Brief, former senior British officer and assault helicopter pilot Mikey Kay delves into the world of drone warfare, shedding light on how these unmanned aerial vehicles are revolutionizing the way conflicts are fought. From pinpoint strikes on enemy targets to gathering crucial intelligence, drones are now playing a pivotal role in modern military operations.
But with the increasing use of drones in warfare, questions arise about how far this technology will go and what implications it may have on the future of warfare. As forces around the world grapple with the challenges posed by drones, Kay provides insights into the strategies and defenses being implemented to counter this emerging threat.
With the rise of drone technology, the battlefield is becoming more complex and unpredictable than ever before. As nations continue to invest in developing and deploying drones for military purposes, it is clear that this technology is reshaping the landscape of modern warfare. Stay tuned to BBC News for more news, analysis, and features on the evolving role of drones in conflicts around the world.

Iron Dome was not built to intercept ballistic missiles. It was created to take care of Hamas and Hezbollah rockets that are short and medium range and somewhat primitive. That said still Iron Dome did a decent job coping with Iranian attack, even though it is thinly spread now considering multiple fronts. The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system which Biden approved for Israel and it is already there is designed specifically to intercept long range ballistic missiles. No doubt that after the exchange with Iran Israel is going to keep it and get more from the U.S. which would dramatically strengthen their air defense. It is obvious that Netanyahu is going to use this opportunity (the war) to uproot Hamas and Hezbollah and to seriously rough up Iran to discourage them from attacks. That's why calls for peace and ceasefire fall on deaf ears.
Does the BBC work for the right wing Islamist Terror Network "The Party of God" otherwise known as Hezbollah? Is the racist antisemitic propaganda outlet, the BBC celebrating the death of Israeli Soldiers? Why should Americans continue to pay hundreds of billions of our tax dollars every year to Nato which protect racist nations like France, Spain, the UK and Ireland when these garbage countries continue to condemn an ally like Israel which Americans consider a far more important ally. The UK is the only American ally that Americans consider important, but in dozens of polls Americans overwhelmingly rank Israel as more important than France, Spain, Ireland or the UK. Many lifelong Democrats like myself will be voting Trump this year in hopes that he will end Nato and let these antisemitic countries defend themselves, end all funding to the terrorist organizations UNWAR, UNIFIL who actually slaughtered Israelis and raped girls alongside there Islamist terrorists friends. Why should the United States protect these shit coutnries from Russia?
Bla Bla BBC expert
we don't give a F about Israel.
Bbc ,loves terrorist
WWII mis-information went along way as well. BBC would state on air that a V1 hit south of London so the Germans would then over fill the next one and such
Israel 1948.
Would bbc make a news video on little girl Hind who got killed by IDF and recently burning of patients at Al Aqsa hospital by IDF. How long the BBC is going to broadcast only Zionists narratives? Sky News doing better job than BBC.

👅👅⚡️👅👅⚡️👅👅⚡️👅👅⚡️👅👅💥👅👅💥
BBC appears to be terrorist supporters, 80% of the terror threats to the Uk comes from Islamists and 0% comes from Jews. BBC is a Hamas and Hezbollah apologist, and also antisemitic, check how many of their journalists come from al jazeera. They do not represent us.

The conflict in Gaza, beginning on October 7, 2023, has led to extensive aerial bombings resulting in significant civilian casualties and widespread infrastructure destruction. Reports suggest the explosive power used is comparable to the combined yields of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the bombings of Dresden during World War II. This comparative analysis examines the explosive impact on Gaza within this historical context, highlighting immediate and long-term effects on civilian populations. By reflecting on these historical precedents, the study aims to draw lessons for contemporary conflict resolution and humanitarian intervention. Keywords: Gaza bombings, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresden, aerial bombardment, civilian casualties, infrastructure destruction, explosive yield, humanitarian crisis, international law, war crimes, conflict resolution, historical comparison, ethical considerations.
