😢😢😢😢😢😢
A lie for the government smh
Do you see how calm and civilized everyone is being? That wouldn’t have happened in new orleans
Gretna was horrible to the people of New Orleans!!!
That gd mayor was a huge problem
The insurance companies are criminally negligent and reckless in Florida and I’m sure many other states that have been devastated by hurricanes! And now they won’t even insure homeowners in Florida! It’s CRIMINAL!
So Mr. Oliver Thomas, why were you expecting the city of Gretna to take care of residents and visitors of YOUR city? Maybe if you had coordinated buses to DRIVE these people somewhere safe (which Gretna had no services to offer them) maybe this wouldn’t have happened. You, sir, could’ve coordinated the buses to park on the bridge and get those people to safety well beyond Gretna. And for the visitors from San Francisco, where exactly were you planning to go once you got across the bridge? As they said, Gretna had nothing to offer you. Ten people easily turns into thousands of people especially if they think there’s relief on the other side of that bridge. These people were desperate for help. Maybe if people like you would’ve left BEFORE the storm, you wouldn’t have been a factor. By staying, you were diverting resources needed for locals to yourself.
“There is no global warming!”
And of course the Florida Panhandle which got obliterated by a Category 5 in 2018 was not even mentioned. I wonder why?🤔 And Katrina didn’t just affect New Orleans but as usual MS is overlooked.
I don't agree with the NTSB's report on the El Faro. Captain Davidson did everything he could to make sure the ship was out of harms way from Hurricane Joaquin. Unfortunately, he was working with outdated information in a fast moving situation. It was a catastrophic series of unfortunate events. It certainly wasn't his fault the ship started taking on water. I agree with the gentleman who said they went down with honor. They didn't give up. I would suggest they defer the command of a ship to an officer who is awake while the Capt. is sleeping. Everyone needs sleep, and Capt. Davidson felt he had taken care of the situation based on the information he was given. If they would've deferred command of the ship to someone else while the Capt. slept, they could've changed course. Then again, it wouldn't have prevented the ship from sinking in lieu of the engines shutting down as a result of the ship tilting as it started taking on water. So either way, this voyage was doomed. RIP to brave men & women of the El Faro.😢
actually had fun during Helene never thinking it would do what it did to the carolinas and virginia and west virginia … my heart broke for them. Still haven’t recovered from Ian; it was a beast! and that’s saying a lot because Charley in 03 was the worst but Ian went on for hours and hours with sounds that were freakishly horrifying. Lost it all but i know why the Grammy sings …
