When I joined the Air Force in 1984, my grandfather who had been a German soldier during WW2 was not very happy. For him one of the most terrifying parts of the war was getting strafed by enemy planes.
i graduated high school with every pilot rating except the ATP. Went to meps and i had 20/30 in my right eye. I wouldve had my choice of any jet in the air force or navy.

Approximately 2% of Air Force pilots are Black or African American. This is a relatively small percentage, especially when compared to the Black population in the United States, which is nearly 14%. Don't tell me D.E.I. kept a white guy from flying.

Maybe if you removed the degree requirement, then there wouldn’t be a shortage of Air Force pilots. Plenty of qualified FAA rated pilots, myself included, who would love to fly in the military, but don’t check that one degree box.
