Some advocates propose implementing a use-it-or-lose-it parental leave policy for both parents to encourage shared caregiving responsibilities and promote gender equality in the workforce. By offering equal and non-transferable leave benefits to both parents, it can help address the existing gender imbalance in caregiving roles and create a more equitable environment for working parents.
As the landscape of parenthood continues to evolve, it is essential for policymakers and employers to adapt to meet the needs of the changing workforce.
