Switching From iPhone to Android – Was It Worth It? | Prove It
Synopsis: Switching From iPhone to Android – Was It Worth It? | Prove It
In this candid exploration of tech loyalty, the host bids farewell to the “blue bubble cult” and embarks on a journey from iPhone to Android. After four and a half years with an iPhone 12 mini, the decision to switch comes fueled by a desire for novelty, against the backdrop of social pressures and internalized stigma surrounding green bubbles.
The video chronicles the often chaotic process of transferring data to a Suaravski Razer phone, revealing the inconvenient truth of group chats splintering into disorganized threads and critical message histories lost in the transition. Despite a few triumphant moments—like enjoying the unique interface and fun features of the Razer—frustrations abound, from missing text messages to the cumbersome task of exporting notes to Google.
As the realities of Android life sink in, the host grapples with feelings of isolation among iPhone-using friends. Is the switch worth the hassle? With light humor and relatable anecdotes, this video asks viewers: Can you truly find satisfaction in a phone that feels more “you,” despite the bumps along the way? Join the conversation in the comments and share your own experiences with switching platforms!

Went to fold7, I dont think I can go back….
I guess Samsung does a better job when it comes to switching from iOS to android.
That is actually apple that's limiting stuff getting transferred to android. It's been proven every time it's apples stopping the transfer properly. Everyone knows aplee loves to limit stuff going to other platforms.
You can use a dongle, but the dongle must allow for data communication. Not all dongles are created equal.
If you have tables or any complicated formatting in your notes, google keep will turn them into a plain text. So sad.
Apple will never let the transition to anything else be seemless. The ex-Apple user will always blame the Android phone because that's where they assume the issue stems from. I applaud Apple for training their user base so well.
The iPhone/Apple cult is gross when they express themselves without any filters. Peak consumerist brain.
Sidenote: Start off with a Pixel then dabble with others if possible. Third party Android software experience is ehhh.
Jesus what is wrong with Americans? Everyone else on the planet uses WhatsApp for group chats. The prejudice against Android users in America is actually quite nasty. Oh also WhatsApp is free AND it has video calling.
Welcome to the true free world of Android. Switching now, to a few years back, is a pain, but when you do you will love it.
Another pathetic airhead.
The same for the audio recordings, if you want them in your android with titles and dates, first you have to save them on a local drive and then do import to android phone via cable. Unfortunately.
Apple doesn't play nice with others. Unfortunately that keeps a lot of people from switching phones. And if they have spend a ton of money on airpods, ipads and apple watches – forget about it. Its just sad because android is pretty amazing too.
I feel your pain on messages… I'm leaning toward Whatsapp, but that takes time for others to follow through with me 🙂
Android and Linux forever. 🙅🏻
Suggestion if you want to import photos to google to preserve the dates, you will need to save them to a local drive and then import into google photos.
iPhone sucks
Fissazione del continente americano 🤯🗽resto del mondo IPhone o Android libera scelta, x fortuna 🍏👽😁
I switched to Samsung fron a IPhone, and it breath of fresh air!
I say this as someone who works in tech and deals with the big G's ad business: Switching to anything made by them is a HUGE mistake.
I have an iPhone 16 pro max and recently bought a z flip 7 to try and after not even 2 months I’m going to sell the z flip and go back to my iPhone. Now if I had an android first and wanted to try an iPhone the same things would probably happen where I’d go back to android. It’s hard when you’ve been with one brand for so long to switch.
No lol.
Apple is the reason all of the problems you're having are so difficult. They don't want you to leave their ecosystem and they make you pay a high price. This has nothing to do with the Android product
If you live in a country where almost everyone uses iPhones then using Android is indeed a hassle.
Luckily, i don’t so i don’t have to use phones with less features and i cannot customize
Just magic missile your android phone and switch back to Apple.
It's technical choice not an emotional or social one. How old are you 14? SMH
Do you know if you're using the google messages app? Because google messages supports RCS, so you shouldn't have the group chat problem if everyone is running IOS 18 or later and you're using the google messages app.
Can't be that apple doesn't want to play well with others. You can get out of their sandbox, but you can't take your stuff.
Apple phones are like handguns. Every American needs one because every American has one.
Thank you for recognizing the better phone…
bye…
