Jean Paul Gaultier | Spring Summer 2026 | Paris Fashion Week
The anticipation surrounding Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring Summer 2026 collection was palpable as fashion enthusiasts gathered in the heart of Paris for what would soon prove to be a spectacular showcase of creativity and innovation. Collaborating with Duran Lantink, the collection unfolded like a dramatic narrative, celebrating Gaultier’s legacy while embracing the avant-garde spirit that the designer is famed for.
As the first models stepped onto the runway, the audience was immediately struck by the bold use of color and texture. Layered fabrics cascaded with playful fluidity, showcasing a blend of high fashion and artful streetwear. Gaultier’s signature corsetry re-emerged, reinterpreted through a modern lens that juxtaposed structural elegance with loose-fitting silhouettes. This was a celebration of the human form, highlighting curves and contours without compromising on comfort.
The show’s soundtrack, featuring a medley of emotive tracks like Taylor Howell’s “Fade Out” and “I Feel The Love,” provided the perfect backdrop, enhancing the cinematic experience. Each segment of the show flowed seamlessly into the next, allowing the audience to feel the rhythm of creativity that Gaultier has always been a master of harnessing.
The accessories were equally striking—deconstructed hats, oversized bags, and bold jewelry defined the looks, while models strutted confidently, embodying the spirit of empowerment that Gaultier champions. This season, gender fluidity was a resounding theme, with pieces transcending traditional sartorial norms. Men and women alike donned ensembles that challenged conventions, showcasing Gaultier’s commitment to inclusiveness and self-expression.
Textiles were at the forefront, as Lantink brilliantly combined sustainability with high fashion, utilizing eco-friendly materials that did not compromise on flair. Each piece told a story, interwoven with messages of individuality and boundary-pushing design.
As the show concluded, the applause echoed through the venue, a testament to Gaultier’s unyielding influence on the fashion world. The Spring Summer 2026 collection was not just a display of clothing; it was an exploration of identity, art, and society’s ever-evolving relationship with fashion.
In a world that often seeks to categorize, Jean Paul Gaultier continues to defy labels, reminding us that fashion is an art form deeply rooted in self-expression. This collection will undoubtedly resonate as a pivotal moment in the ongoing narrative of one of fashion’s most beloved icons.

Bruto
So where are the actual clothes?
That’s the fifth element by Netflix 😅. Good ideas who will be more elevated in a couture show. Good but not commercial.
Un altro genio sepolto.
Nemmeno le ceneri che restano gli fanno onore.
Povero jean Paul…
Pessima.
Adatta ad uno sexy shop.
I ended up quite liking this collection after finding myself saying 'Ewww!' out loud a couple of times at the start of the show. The more body- revealing stuff I'll leave to those with the youngest, most beautiful bodies but there were some nice trousers and tops in there if you separated the looks out into their constituent parts.
