The Road to Kabul: A Journey Through Uncertainty
In the ever-shifting landscape of Afghanistan, a journey from Jalalabad to Kabul unfolds with both intrigue and trepidation. In the latest episode of “The Road to Kabul is Full of Taliban,” travel journalist Noraly Schoenmaker takes us along for a ride on her motorcycle, navigating not just the winding roads but the complex reality on the ground.
Every kilometer of this 150-kilometer stretch reveals the challenges faced by those who dare to traverse this region. Each roadblock is a stark reminder of the Taliban’s presence, where armed checkpoints create an atmosphere of uncertainty. Yet, it’s not just the visible enforcers in fatigues that pose a threat; some who appear to be civilians may harbor hidden allegiances.
With each stop, Noraly remains vigilant, embodying not just the spirit of adventure but also the critical necessity of awareness in a land rife with complexities. This journey is shaped by stories untold, where each interaction and observation adds layers to the narrative of modern Afghanistan.
Join Noraly on this captivating ride, as she sheds light on a country often overlooked, unearthing the beauty and the harsh realities that coexist in this land of resilience.

I thought the Taliban don't shake hands with women?
50 checkpoints in only 1 km hahahahah
Well yeah, that is their actual government. They came from Pakistan, and some other sources, once the US left, and basically became mixed with the transitional government; that wasn't sustainable, but nonetheless wasn't executed or anything like that. You didn't know? Silly.
Also yes, they are more pro-US because they know America actually developed them and helped them in the end; and also they in reality know the US won there militarily even with all the logistical struggle; every 'chance' they had to beat the US ended up in Taliban defeat, even if it was tough fought.
They are more likely to quarrel with China or Iran now than the US. The US has in this sense partially developed and solved a big historical problem of Afghanistan that I won't get into because plagarism and posing of real info is not what I endorse and I find people just will copy things and not understand them fundamentally at all. Most people who have really a basic above avg IQ or understand beyond a childish sense know the main problem of what Afghanistan was/is and how that is partially now solved.
14:49 😂 explaining through the money, 😂 thats problem solving skills
Male or Female?😅😂😂
How kind the people of Afghanistan are… Now, I’m starting to like them even more. Their country’s economy is very weak and the people are struggling, yet they still smile sincerely. Even though they live in hardship, they still give to others without asking for payment. Hopefully they can develop their economy again without being disturbed by other countries.
😢😢🇦🇫❤

Afghanistan is very beautiful. But the western press always shows negative things and promote Afghanistan on welcoming.
