Khachapuri That Will Explode Your Taste! Quick and Easy!

Khachapuri Recipe: Quick and Delicious

Ingredients for the Dough:

  • 100 ml Milk
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Yeast
  • 200 ml Kefir
  • 400 g Flour

Filling:

  • 100 g Cottage Cheese
  • 150 g Sulguni Cheese
  • 1 Egg White
  • 60 g Butter

Additional:

  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 tbsp Milk

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, salt, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
    • Add kefir and mix well.
    • Gradually add flour, stirring until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  2. Let the Dough Rise:

    • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the Filling:

    • In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, sulguni cheese, and the egg white. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the Khachapuri:

    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
    • Divide the risen dough into equal portions (about 4 pieces).
    • Roll each piece into a flat circle, placing a generous amount of filling in the center.
    • Fold the edges over the filling, pinching to seal. Shape into a boat-like form.
  5. Brush and Bake:

    • Place the formed khachapuri on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk and milk. Brush this mixture over the tops of the khachapuri.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Once baked, let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the crispy crust and gooey cheese filling!
